Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Radflo adjustable coilovers up front (which need rebuilding awfully bad) with OW coils in the rear and icon rear shocks. 285/70/17 Toyo MTs on Icon Compressions. Debating on switching to a Dobinson LT kit

Thanks a ton - this is helpful. Wonder how much your bumper helps with non rubbing. Let me know how your test run goes

I had a lot of rubbing on the drivers side pinch weld.. plus the truck really didn't do too well offroad with the weight of the bumper + winch. Soo I just ordered a whole new suspension. Went with Dobinsons C59-352 + 5100's up front and OME 895E + 5100 in the back.

Love the build. Is the SW bumper contacting your passenger fender there?

2007 SR5 V6 4x4. Lift purchased at and installed by Slee Off-road in Golden, CO.
OME 3" Lift
- Front: OME 884/90021 along with SPC UCA's
- Rear: OME 895/60004
- Tires: Yokohama G015 in size 265/70r17. These were brand new when I purchased the vehicle last August. Kinda looks like a roller skate now with this size! As soon as these wear out I will be switching
to BFG K02's in 285/70r17 on some black TRD Pro wheels.

Have had it for a week and a half now and absolutely love it. I debated a long time on the front coils....884 vs 885....very happy with the set-up I went with in terms of both looks and ride quality! I wish a had a "before" picture. The front-end was sitting ridiculously low and was totally worked - both struts leaking oil, badly. It was time!

Happy to join the 4runner family. Picked this 4th gen at the start of the pandemic.

Radflo 2.5 all the way around. Total Chaos UCA. 285/70/17 on Rays 10 -38 offset.

How do you like your Radflo's and do you have external reservoirs? been looking at them for a new suspension setup

Lift is a 2020 Tacoma TRD Offroad Bilstein factory lift, lifted it about 2.25” in the front. Adding 1.25” spacers to the rear.
Wheels and tires are 2020 Tacoma TRD Offroad 265/70/16. Paid $700 for the lift, wheels & tires!

I've been wondering if these TRD offroad Tacoma wheels would fit the SR5 with smaller brakes, but haven't seen anyone running them. Any clearance issues with the calipers?

884's

How much lift should I expect from OME 884's??? I am hoping for 2.5" I have an 07 v6 4runner and currently am running bilstein 5100's perched at 2.5" with a 1.5" spacer in the back. I don't like that I am preloading coils and have read that OME coil springs have a better ride. I am aiming to keep the 2.5" lift up front due to not wanting to buy UCA's.

My guess is it will be more like 3" and eventually settle a bit to 2.5"ish

I got 2.25" with ome883 on my 05' v8.

I wish the amount of lift it says it gives would be accurate haha. I don’t want to spend the money on new UCAs - how necessary is it to get new ones of caster alignment is off? (Why I’m aiming to stay below 2.5” of lift)

Did you do anything aside from moving the fender liner forward to fit the 275 70 18? I currently have 255 70 18 and wanting to move to the 275 70 when these tires are done. Would like to make the necessary mods before getting the tires so I don't have to deal with rubbing!

I had to trim the front fender a little bit with a razor knife

I have the same truck and just had 884's installed. Got pretty much 3" exactly in the front when it was first done (about 2 weeks ago and several hundred miles ago) and it has only settled just a tiny bit so far. I posted a (sorta shitty) pic one page back of the day i picked it up. i can snap some better pics if you'd like.

That would be much appreciated if you could. A couple questions for you:
1) Did you have any issues getting the caster into spec/ did you buy new UCA's?
2) how much would you say they have settled down to?
3) did you add a trim spacer to correct any 'lean' that I've been hearing many people talk about?

Dobinsons 2.5 & 1.5

Installed some Dobinsons springs and shocks. Plus some 1/4 spacers in the front. Got a full 3+inches lift in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear. The front was way sagging.
I’m the original owner of my 2003 limited V8 4x4. Currently 180K on the Odo. I’ve owned and put on at least 160K on all the first 4 gens. Haven’t gotten a 5th gen because this truck is so good.
Very happy with the Dobinsons setup and service.

no problem! i'll shoot you a few more pictures today. to answer your questions:

1) alignment after the lift turned out great - all in the green. i did go with SPC UCA's as i plan on upgrading to 33's when i need new tires. having those UCA's will be critical to get caster into spec with that size, not to mentioned getting better articulation in the front of the vehicle.

2) i'd say it has settled about a 1/2 inch at the very most. i don't have any additional weight either (no aftermarket bumpers, armor, etc) so that will def make a difference in how much it settles. i have driven it about 500 miles since getting the lift - normal roads around town, highway speeds up to 80mph, and some fairly bumpy roads up in rollins pass heading to the forest lakes/needles eye tunnel.

3) i did not go with the OME trim packer to correct drivers side lean. i can't even see a difference with my naked eye so it doesn't bother me at all if one side is 1/4" lower or whatever. the folks at Slee Off-Road basically said "don't bother" when they could have said "you need it" and charged me more money for it. def a personal choice but i didn't want to add any additional parts to the system if they weren't absolutely necessary.
