2008 4Runner Limited 2/1 Cornfed

Stock wheels, stock tire size, XREAS deleted, Bilstein 4600 all around.

Measurements Before
Front driver: 33.5
Rear driver: 35 5/8
Front passenger: 33 3/4
Rear passenger: 35 7/8

After
Front driver: 35 7/8
Rear driver: 36 3/4
Front passenger: 36
Rear passenger: 36 7/8

FJ Springs x4, 5100 Bils x4, Front shocks set for max lift, 1 1/2 spacer on rear, Freedom Off Road Upper & Lower Control Arms, New SS extended brake lines, KM2's 265x17's. The Limited came with 18" wheels, tossed them for 17" just for better tire options. I couldn't ask for a better ride and it handles like it should. Upgraded brakes and rotors and pads x4. In case anyone wants to know it's DIY Raptor Bedliner on the front and rear bumpers. Paid $120 to have special tint made and wish the color matched better. However it's not a show ride, it's for wheeling and having fun ride.

Before (Ground to Fender):
FL - 35.5”
FR - 35.5”
RL - 36”
RR - 37”

After (Ground to Fender):
FL - 39 3/8”
FR - 39.75”
RL - 38.5”
RR - 39.25”

*Measurements "Before" had a Bilstein 5100 kit at 0.85" setting & stock springs that had already drooped back down to (almost) stock height. "After" measurements were immediately after install.

As you can see, I got nearly 4" of lift in the front, 2" in the rear. Visually, the front does appear a tad higher than the rear, but has already broken in within the first 200 miles. Going to remeasure at the 500 and 1,000 mile mark to see how much everything has settled. I could not have done this project myself (also did SPC UCA & new LCA) without the help of this forum so if anyone is questioning this kit or needs general help with their install please send me a message. By no means do I have any mechanic background, but if you're the average weekend project/DIY'er, YOU CAN DO IT yourself with the right tools. Will update post with the measurements, but if you're thinking about this kit, I'd highly recommend it.

I am new here, this is my first post. Got my 4runner lifted yesterday. I am not sure how may inches though . I did not measure before the lift and it came out a little higher than I wanted I guess. But it drives better than before. So I think I will enjoy this lift. Now I need to get bigger tires.

Welcome to the forum. Looking good, bigger tires is just the beginning of the disease. What OME springs did you go with?

Usually after installing a lift on the vehicle it will settle a little bit after driving it a few weeks, measure from the fender to the center of the hub now and then check it in a few weeks so you can see/know how much it settles.

That's what I am hoping for. If front comes down a little, it'll look better i believe. I will get the measurements and will keep an eye on.

Adding to my collection! Finished my 2003 4runner SR5 4x4 with bilstein 5100 2.5 max lift in front, bilstein in rear with some method vex 311 on some 265x70x17 today and I love it! Ride is just right!

Some 4th Gens came with 16" wheels, but some have 17" wheels and a few later years came with 18" wheels, what determines what size wheel will fit is the caliper/rotor size, 4th Gens came with 2 different size rotors/caliper on the front, the smaller rotor is 319mm the larger rotor is 338mm and also uses a larger caliper, the 17" and 18" wheels will fit on any size rotor, but the 16" will only fit on the smaller rotor.

It essentially gave me a 3/2 lift. I've had this set up for 5 years with no off road use. It handles really well and I've been happy with it. I do plan on upgrading all suspension soon and get away from spacers.
