The place that did my lift switched my tires around to fix the initial rubbing and finally came up with the toyos that worked. I have not even driven my vehicle yet, I am still deployed, or else I would have a better answer for you.

I ordered my Shrockworks bumper in March/April and it just arrived in October. That is at least six months of waiting. They never initiated a phone call or email. And when I did email them, no apology, no offer to make things better. Absolutely the worst customer service. Bumper is nice. If I had to do it again, I would definitely go ARB or Perkins. I see that Perkins does rear bumpers too.

Thats how every shrockworks transaction is, expect to wait 6 months for your bumper with little feedback from them. They make a quality product though.

With the other bumper options we now have for the 4runner and another one coming shrockworks needs to step up there game

2005, Sport V8, OME 885/895, Goodyear Duratrac 285/70R17's, Spidertrax spacers:

I couldn't be happier with the result. Tires only required minor trimming up front and are monsters in the snow! The OME shocks and springs handle like night and day compared to the XREAS. If you're on the fence between spacers and a complete lift, get a complete lift if you can swing it! I found that my stock front coils had sagged about an inch.

Top of front fender, in line with hub, measured 33 inches before the lift. Now it measures 38.5 inches with lift and tires after settling.

I agree, my order took 5 1/2 months to arrive. And it arrived with no bolts or lights that I ordered. No update from them, no emails. But it was packed pretty well, and fits perfectly. I would wait again and order again, but I was prepared in advance to expect it. What puzzles me is the approach? Do they have some other product that is the cash cow and this is a hobby?

cut rear spacers down to .86" lift

after, no before pic cause its ugly that way and you've all seen 1. this is as level as possible. daystar should take note.

Thanks! I've got the V8 so after talking with the guys at Toytec, they recommended going with the 885's and no spacer. It actually rides really well, not too stiff. The rear feels like it stiffened up more than the front but not more than I'm comfortable with.

The wife didn't complain so it must be okay!

since these pics, I have also removed the mud flaps. I'm looking for a wheel that will give me a wider stance, without the use/need of spacers. thanks for the feedback, and the knowledge gained through your trials and errors. Over all I'm very happy with this lift, very inexpensive, and I think it looks great, not too much, but more than stock, definitely gets the job done.

I finally got some of my brother's lifted next to my stock 4runner... I prefer his, but in my color. He has 285.75.17's on it. 2.5/3.5 with 1" body lift
