2008 UrbanRunner Daystar 2/1.5 before and after. Now it desperately needs some bigger ATs.
Looks good! What size tires do have on there now?

X2 on this question please. I have the stock size tire on my 17's. Almost new Maxxis Bravo HTS 265/65/R17. I'm hoping to Basically do Bilstein 1.75 setting up front and 1'' rear, and also don't want to look silly.
Didn't mean to take away from your question Momo... I'm just also very curious.
Edit. As an FYI, I did a mock 2/1 lift with jack/stands on the frame over the weekend and took some pics that my cell phone apparently decided not to save properly.
I personally thought it looked great. Maybe I'll do it again and take pics.

I'm running the DS 2.5/1.5 now with the stock tires at 265/60r18. It doesnt look too bad but I wouldnt leave it like that. My FJ wheels are at the powder coaters now and I have 265/70r17s waiting to go on. If your gonna leave the stock size tires then I would just do a front level kit.

I hear ya. You could always do a leveling kit for now and save up for a full suspension/tires upgrade for later! In my opinion the DS kit makes my runner handle worse than before. I'm on the original suspension but now I raised my COG, I really want to get new springs and shocks.

You and me both Momo... Only mine are about 6 months old now, but only around 5.5k miles on them... I agree it would look better with bigger tires, but I think I'll hopefully be ok with the 1.85" front (Billies at .85 + Toytec .5" topout) and 1" rear (or 3/4 if I can find) with my stockers for a few years, since I would get the Bilstein's which will help handling/etc I hear.
I just hope the wife approves, as she looove the 4R the way it is! If the ride wasn't as comfortable, or good to drive after, that would suck! (I love that she loves my 4R!)
*Edit - or maybe I should "only" go with the .5" Toytec leveling kit... Decisions, decisions...

Try plasti-dip. I used it and it came out alright, in my opinion.

After recently joining the forum, I been doing some minor mods and repairs to my truck. But the biggest mod I've done is the lift ( bilstein 5100 set @ 1.75" with stock coil and DS 1.5 rear). So happy with the outcome. I would like to say Thank you to all! The great build threads and pictures helped me to do it myself. THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!!!!

I know what you mean...I feel the same way. There is a wealth of knowledge here and everyone is willing to help a fella out.
