lift question

OK, 2 questions, actually:
1) how much settling should I expect from my new Boss coilovers, and Superflex rear springs? And how long does it usually take? Things seem to be sitting a bit high right now (39.5" floor to top wheel well in back, and 39" in front), and I'm trying to decide when a good time to adjust my coilovers would be.
2) I'm going for an alignment tomorrow, first since I put on the lift last weekend. If they align the front end at the current height, will I ruin the alignment if I decide to lower things a little bit (maybe 0.5-1.0") later on?

In the end, I want about 2.5" in front and back, and I think I'm a bit higher than that right now. Just don't want to muck up the alignment by fiddling with my front end height down the road.

I think two trips to the alignment rack is typical. One after install and another in a moth or so.

IMO if it's not affecting your ride quality or manners I'd try to go 500mi or more & try to wheel it a bit ! You know move it around to get em to flex , F-n alignments get pricey every cpl tweaks man ! You'll look at it one day & go looks level next day rear end is up so just as the man said RELAX & check how it rides every day you might like it or know for sure need to adjust .

How much lift did you actually get? Measurements should be taken from center of wheel not from the floor.

Ah. Thanks for that. I'm still new to this. Measured from center wheel to top of well, here's what I got:
driver front: 24.5"
passenger front: 24.75"
driver rear: 24.5"
passenger rear: 24.5"

So, fairly flat except for the passenger side front. Not sure how much overall lift I have, seems to be just a bit higher than my old Daystar spacer, so I'm guessing 3"? Maybe a bit over?

I didnt seem to have any settling on mine. Or both front and back springs settled together at the same rate. Dont know that i would expect much up front, i have different rear coils.

What's your pre measurements? I haven't seen any settling on mines yet; but i've only driven it on one tank of gas. Maybe 300 miles. I got 2 1/2 in the front and 2 1/2 in the back so I still have the stock rake. Hoping the rear goes down.

Not sure, forgot to measure like a dummy. Was too excited to get the new parts on, things were halfway apart before i realized I forgot. I usually park next to a stock 4runner (same model year) at work (just to establish dominance, you see:rockon:), so I'll jump out and measure his tomorrow. Hope I don't get hassled by security!
