As stated in the title I finally got around to lifting my 97 with 06 double cab tundra struts (not y/y y/b coils) and some 8 wrap lc coils. I thought the ride was going to be awful stiff but actually ended up feeling wayyyyyy better than my stock setup and feels better up front than my buddy who is running an OME lift. I got a little over 2 in of lift in the front. Also I thought I would take time to mention I've been running treadwright claw 265/75's for about 15k and they still look sweet. Road noise is ridiculous, but I would most definitely buy them again. This is turning out to be a sweet budget build and I'm loving my 4runner more than any other vehicle I've owned.
