As long as we're being honest here, I agree with mac0822. I like lifted trucks with big tires, but what makes this one look funny to me are those big wheels and skinny rubber. I've learned to accept that sort of thing on low riders and Honda Civics, but on a lifted truck? It just looks wrong.

Wow, you boys over here are a little tougher than the yotatech guys, lol. Again, I want the honest truth, and appreciate it, dont feel bad.

On to answer a few questions:

The Hella's are mounted right onto the bumper using their brackets

The tail lights are frosted with a good layer of grey, and two coats of clear. Visibility of the lights is unaffected at night...this is being done a lot in so-cal and other major mods shops, etc...you are gonna see a lot of it soon.

The tires measure out to nearly a 36 x 13. They are huge, and more fender trimming and grinding is the next step, as I cannot go any higher with the 4+ inches of lift without major fabrication. With the tires being that large with a sidewal aspect ratio 50, they measure out to be over 6.5", so essentially just slightly less than a 31 x 10.5 on a 15" wheel in that regard. 18" wheels are going to be an option on the upcoming tacomas...just wait till you all see the things, they are gonna be wicked...I cannot say any more than that...lets just say my ride is more than just my "ride"...a lot of new concepts, components, and ideas are being worked into its creation, and getting a public reaction is one of the main reasons...you'll understand this much better over time...

Hey, thanks for the support bro...you have become a great friend to us all real quickly. Mileage is not that bad cause I travel a lot and am on the interstate weekly. I dont have a # though.

Well, whether you all like it or not, this is only the beginning of the current automotive industry progession. Keep your eyes peeled, the runner is going to have a ton of cover shots and write ups in just about every mag possible over the next 6 months. Thanks.

"Ride" in regards to soft/hard etc. is not even noticeable from the swap of the 315/70R17's (35" H2 takeoffs). There is still quite a bit of rubber there...do the math, 36" tire, 22" wheel...that's a 14" difference made up in the rubber. Handling is better, ride is smooth...when you use good stuff, you get the same results. The tires are also a ten ply sidewall, so they are definitely created for the woods. They debuted at SEMA.

For what its worth, the new H3 and H3T will both be running about 40" tires on 22's...believe me or not, that is where the industry is going.

The Runner came from the factory as an 03' V-8 SR5 4WD. I bought the SE hood for about $270 thru a friend of mine within the system...it retails for nearly $400. Then of course there are a few other components to complete it. I modified the actual scoop itself to cool the engine compartment...nothing actually dumps into the intake plenum, but just directly inside. Engine temps run a good 25% lower when on the freeway. If any of you want me to get you a hood at that price, let me know...I can save ya money on just about any other toyota parts you need as well.

Got it painted for $200 even thru another buddy.

What exactly are you referring to when you state "widen the wheel wells"???...I am guessing larger fender flares or something of the like???

Uh...its a 4 inch custom suspension kit thru the use of downey proto coils, revtek spacers, custom spacers, proto inland truck uniball a-arms...and a 5" drop of the panhard bar, as well as the removal of the front sway.

Read ya loud and clear my friend. There is actually going to be a bunch of trimming, sanding and repainting to re-shape and finish the front fenders. I am also going to take a grinder inside the fender well to clear a little more room, and eliminate any rubbing for good. A 36" tire is extremely difficult to pack into a runner with only 4" of lift, but it can be done...barely

Yes, I still have my bike. It is in a garage in WA while I am finishing a master's degree in MT. Been making payments on it all year and havent even seen the bike! I love it to death, bought it last summer. It's a 100 yr anniversary edition, carburated, with new pipes, and a bunch of other extras. Three of us are making a Sturgis run this summer.

Regarding the skid - It is a toyota part that retails for over $200. I should be able to find you one for under $100. I'll get one located and shoot you an exact price asap. Glad you enjoyed the website.
