Well, dropped 'er off this morning, picked-up this evening.

ToyTec Ultimate Lift
FN BFD 18"
Cooper A/T3 275/65

WOW!! Such a HUGE difference from the stock setup. So much better in every way!

When I pulled up to pick it up, there were 4 of the guys from the shop outside taking pictures. They had parked it up on the rocks near the main entrance to the parking lot. I was amazed at how many people were actually slowing down to stare! :naughty:

Looks good! I've always been partial to Mag Grey. I've been running the TT ultimate for about 18 months and I've been very pleased. You will def. get a kick out of it when someone comes up and asks "that's not stock, is it?"

The only downside has been thinking about how to get my little old lady Aunt up into the thing when I need to take her to the doctor next week!

I paid special attention to the way XREAS felt just before dropping it off for this 'surgery' and compared to the set up now...I actually like this BETTER when it comes to the small things the XREAS did (minimizing roll and dive of course).

So far, I love it...tomorrow I'll really drive it though.

I had the same issue about taking my mom once in a while. I did the N-fab side step. Then started off roading and banged it up a bit. Now I have demello bump out sliders. They work great as a side step, door protector when parking in tight spots, and what they were made to really do. Slide over rocks. BTW rig looks niiiiiiccccceeeee.

So you bailed on XREAS altogether? And you think it was worth it, cornering-wise? Very curious re: XREAS v. custom lift.

Very nice! I like the A/T 3s on there. Not as agressive as Duratracs, very clean and capable-looking.

Yes, I agree. Exactly what I am going for...clean but substantially toughened-up compared to stock.

They are 285/65's and required a little fender liner mod to keep from rubbing when turned.

I do want to say thanks to QJake for some post way-back-when where he emphasized to not worry about losing XREAS as the right setup more than compensates and actually performs better in the areas XREAS was helping with.

Of course, the new suspension does MUCH more but at the time I was thinking about doing just spacers so I cold keep the XREAS.

I was noticing this too. I had a tire changed on my trip and since I was standing there, I asked him to and then finally walked up and spun it, to line up. He didn't know that they were important.

As long as there isn't vibration, probably doesn't matter much. It doesn't stop from bugging me though! Especially with Coopers, since I had a nightmare with mine. The dot is there for a reason, right?

SgnDn, make sure you print off the Cooper rebate form and mail it in, I think it's $75..

Get your rig up to 80 today, make sure it's all good.

I will scan the alignment spec sheet and post it later today. More/less aggressive tires (e.g. Nitto TG) was a conscious decision. If I were in a TE, for sure...but I was looking for tougher look and feel + modest off road action without feeling over the top. Different strokes for sure.

Right now, I am going to go run it up to 80 mph and be sure it's holding the line and no vibro.

I will go back to the shop in 100 miles and will have them spin the paint dot to the stem when they re-torque the lugs for me. I can do the jugs of course but figure I'll let them tweak at that time if needed.

These guys go through a 48' trailer (250 sets) every week of the Cooper A/T3's so they should know how to handle them.
