Limited Edition Mod Thread

That looks really sweet. I ordered the 2.5" kit after reading that 3 would be a stretch for the XREAS? Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the 3" kit. Dang...may have to exchange

My local shop is telling me the rear coil spacers can't be used with the XREAS on the rear? And I can't figure out how so many LEs are running 2.5/1.5 DS or the Toytec??

Noob lady here with noob question, sorry for posting here but cannot find the answer...with the Daystar or the Toytec are we just leveling the front with these kits (and calling it a 2.5/1.5) or...? If so, why does Toytec send the rear parts for a package compatible w XREAS if we can't use them?

Sorry for the late response!

My shop installed the rear spacers with no problem. Th key is to find a reputable shop that knows XREAS well. I called ToyTec for a recommendation and they hooked it up with Tandem Auto in Fort Worth. Those guys are awesome!

If I'm not mistaken, a 1.5 lift in the front equals a level 4runner.

I can't find anybody local who will touch my XREAS:sobbing:

I'll give ToyTec a call too!

If you can't find one try the dealership. ToyTec also referred me to my local Toyota dealership and they were only $100 more than the other shop.

Question: Do I need to upgrade my UCA if I go to a 275/60/20 and running a 3/1.5 ToyTec spacer lift?

I know it's suggested to upgrade UCA when going above a 3" lift. Seeing that a 275/60/20 tire will essentially give me an additional 1" of lift but not sure if this will adversely affect my OE UCA.

Is anyone running this setup if so how do you like it.

If I'd known a limited could look like the way you've done yours, I might have bought one.

I don't know why they don't make them with these options especially chrome delete. I am really liking this look.

Had to do a little bit of conversion there.. I do about 15.2L/100km so about 15.5MPG? Thanks! Seeing your LE with Sequoia rims had me going on a quick search if there are any available in my area!
Im running 275/55/20 Goodyear Duratracs with Spidertrax spacers and a Toytec leveling kit.

Not to be a pest, but which ToyTec leveling kit are you running? I love how your LE looks, but want to be sure I order the right one! TIA!

More pics to come, ko2s 275/55/20 offset on Rhino 20x9 -12 offset, stock suspension. Some minor mudguard rubbing. Definitely the right move...

I'm digging all the mods you guys have posted. I purchased my 12 LE about two months ago and I've been gathering ideas on what to do with mine. I got rid of the 20's and put some 17's on. I also removed the running boards. I'm doing the Daystar 2.5/1.5 install soon since the XREAS is fine. I had the Yakima Megawarrior with ski racks so I threw it on there and just recently ordered the double down 4 Yakima as well.

Well I'm a little late posting here but finally got Toytec leveling kit 2.5/1.5 and tires and wheels installed. Huge shout-out to Mike D at WheelHero for the best deal I could find. Running 275 55 20 Grapplers on 20x9 Moto Metal 970 w 0 offset. Slight rub in reverse at full lock but otherwise I LOVE IT and zero issues! amazing what the right tires can do for the 4R limited. Other stuff (for now!) is just tint all around, Weathertech floormats, OCD console organizer. The ride is slightly stiffer, which I knew to expect but dang the stance and the planted feel is worth it! No more tippy feeling and does much better in curves. The day after the install I towed a trailer 2 hrs to buy an ATV and 2 hrs back and didn't see much difference in mpg. Thanks to all who helped answer my new girl questions.

Sorry for the bad pics. Need to get one straight on from front and rear on level ground. Now just need to name her!

I have a 2016 Limited. I took it to a shop to do a 3" suspension lift and also put 285/70/17. After the lift, they couldn't align it....
I know there would be rubbing and have to cut some lining but i want to know if anyone has put in such tires????

Please help.....

3" is the tipping point where some can get it within alignment specs and others can't. There was a post somewhere written by 1Engineer explaining why. Has something to do do with all parts having a tolerance range and when all assembled together some are lucky to have wiggle room to still be able to stay within specs of alignment. Also I have read that others have taken it to a different shop and were able to get it within alignment specs. If not your only option is to install aftermarket UCAs or lower to 2.5".

Is it only the caster that is off?

Looks very nice!! I almost went with some Black Rhino wheels but changed my mind at the last second. Interesting that your offset is -12 and mine is 0 but the tires just outside the fender is about the same on yours as it is mine. I was worried the 0.offset wouldn't give quite the rugged stance I wanted but it came out just right.

Hard to get a decent pic in the garage. Either way I like the black wheels w the white paint! How's the road noise from the KO2s?

Honestly road noise is negligible at best. The truck is really transformed with this wheel combo. Most of my off roading is April to November on long island beaches so didnt really even need something this rugged but for the looks the ko2s really complete the look. Anyone have any ideas how much i could raise the front to level it?
