I just removed mine and replaced it with Dobinsons shocks a couple weekends ago. My Limited is a 2013 and it has 45k miles, and the shocks were blown when I bought it about a year ago. I also installed the Toytec top spacers along with a taller front shock to level the 4R. The look is SO much better.

Any descent shop will sell you both sets and let you take the ones back you don’t like. Shop local and support local business.

I’d love to see a pic of your limited with the Dobinsons shocks. What are your initial impressions of the new shocks vs the stock limited setup ?
I’m on pavement 99% of the time. Factory suspension rides fairly plush on smooth freeways, bumpy and uneven roads get a little jarring. After I got the limited I was surprised at how well this thing went around corners and fast sweepers. We took it down to Deals Gap a couple years ago on vacation.
Had been down there twice before with my Tundra that had a modified (street setup) suspension. For a moderately powered and fairly heavy SUV, the stock limited suspension is tuned very well for directional change.
Just wondering if the Dobinsons dampers made for a more comfortable ride on rough roads..., do you notice more body lean and nose dive?

Soupbean, do you recall needing to trim any of the factory stud tips off to be able to get the wheel to mount flush to the spacer. Tia

Dang. With those tires and that stance, it looks mean. You know what they say, size does matter! I'm back to thinking that the larger spacers look better.

It's going to be tough to compare the XREAS to the Dobinsons shocks. My XREAS was blown. I saw some leaks and could see where the lower control arms were bottoming out over large bumps. So hitting ANY bump felt like I ran over a curb.
It feels like a truck now. You still notice the bumps, even the big ones, but I'm not worried about breaking anything. You still feel the little bumps too, but it's not harsh. Definitely no Cadillac, but it was just a shock change.
Much better on rough roads, and a lot less nose dive/raise and body lean. BUT, if your XREAS is in good condition, this would not be an upgrade. This does not get you back up to XREAS ride quality, but it's much better than blown-XREAS ride quality (and probably better than most aftermarket shocks, which is why I chose them). I also chose them because I wanted to level the truck, and this helped, along with the Toytec spacers.

Love the look of the spacers although the tires did rub after installation. Had to take the mud guards off and push the front fender liners in. No regrets, i’d do it all over again!

No trimming of factory studs needed when reinstalling stock 20” limited rims.
Look inside your rims, the recess in between the six holes where your studs would normally mount is where your studs will be with spacers installed.

Great, I know exactly the little recess part you're referring to, thank you! Almost as if they designed the wheels with spacers in mind lol.
Thinking about a toyotech top spacer just to get the front closer to even with the back but don't want to remove the xreas.
