Wow! That seems like a lot of work! I wished I had known this before I ordered the fog lights. I thought it was going to be just screwing the existing one from the back. How long did it take you to do this?

Its very easy to do the foglights. Just make sure you have good snips or a multi tool for cutting the plastic housing.

Had the Rough Country 2” Leveling Kit for XREAS and 275/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed. I love how it turned out! It rides great. Didn’t need a body mount chop or spacers.

The ride doesn't feel stiff at all, at least compared to the xreas. Still very comfortable on local roads and highways. I was told that the lift with stock UCAs would feel stiffer, so maybe the Dobinsons UCAs help with the ride quality. Have yet to take it off road.

Who has KO2s on their Limited, and what are your thoughts on ride quality?

I've had 265/70 17 Load range C's on mine for 20k miles now, and the ride quality is starting to wear me out. I've experimented with the tire pressure multiple times and they seem smoothest to me at 43-44psi.

These tires ride nicely on freshly paved, glass-smooth roads, but if I drive on anything less than that, the ride quality is almost dramatic. Small cracks or imperfections are jarring and anything larger than that results in crazy jolts and thuds in the cabin that are almost concerning.

I recently drove a TRD ORP with the Nitto Terra Grapplers and was surprised at how much quieter and nicer they drove despite still being an off road tire.

A lot of folks seem to have KO2s so I guess I'm trying to figure out if there's something about X-REAS on the Limited thats making them ride substantially harder (vs. OR/P, SR5s and TRD Pros with these tires), or if other folks are just not as sensitive about ride quality as I am.

My days of recreational trail riding and off roading are coming to an end, so the KO2 is probably an overkill tire for me now. Not sure what would be a good "step down" - any thoughts? I was pleasantly surprised by how the Nittos drove but even that may be more tire than I really need.

Sure but 40psi works better on these. My XREAS is coming off this week. I to am sick of glass smooth ride yet on minor tiny expansion strips or sealed tar cracks its like getting crunched. Smooth one minute than jarring the next.

I went with Kings instead..

This. 100%. Bought a 19 Limited last week and just drove to LA from San Francisco and the car lurched sideways over some minor potholes. Never had that happen on my 15 TEP. Really caught me off guard.

Thank you - glad to know I'm not the only one. I've driven lowered performance cars with summer tires for a lot of my life and I continue to be shocked at how poorly this 4Runner rides!

I used to run between 38-40psi and I thought I recalled it being smoother at 43-44, but I'll air back down to 40 and report back. Thanks again.

I know that last year, when Toyota switched to the Fox shocks on the TRD Pro, dealers were clearing out the old TRD suspension with Bilsteins for super cheap. If they do something similar when the 6th gen rolls out, I might buy and swap to the TRD Pro suspension with Fox shocks. I also know X-REAS doesn't last forever, so it would be nice to have something in the closet as an insurance policy.

Granted, I'm sure there are better aftermarket options...

Been poking around and doing a little research. For anyone who is curious, all in 265 70R17, load range C, weights are as follows:

BF Goodrich KO2: 52.9lbs per tire
Nitto Ridge Grappler: 43.65lbs per tire
Nitto Terra Grappler G2: 40.2lbs per tire

From my experience, you can really feel the weight difference in the K02. Compared to TG G2, there are more than 50lbs of extra (unsprung) weight at the wheels on the BFGs.

Reviews on Ridge Grapplers vs Terra Grappler G2s seem pretty 50/50.

No KO2's for me - I ended up going with the hankook dynapros on my 18 limited. I hated the 20" pizza cutters and so I went with them instead. I'm not really doing any real off roading so I went with something moderately aggressive in comparison to the stock 20s. And ended up with these after researching and reading a ton of positive reviews. So far they have done well in the Houston rain (which is main issue with tires here). I'd love to have put Duratracs on it (had them on my diesel JGC) but the road noise and lack of really going off road would of made them a waste of money for me.

And yes on the ride being sucktastic - speed bumps feel like I'm going to lose a tooth going over them if not at 2mph.

I recently ditched my KO2's for Ridge Grapplers on my LE and wish I would have done it sooner. I would say they are about half as rough around town as the K02's were. A very noticeable improvement in around-town ride quality, in my experience....

Does anyone know if the Baja Squadrons 4Runner "fit kit" works with the Limited front bumper as well? I'm considering a set of the new SAE version in amber, but it's a lot of $$ and I'd prefer they be plug and play/bolt in.

Hey guys! Just bought my diet 2018 4runner limited. I am looking to do some mods and want to start with the front grill and emblems. Does anyone know where I can purchase them to look like the “nightshade edition” instead of the chrome look? Any help is greatly appreciated!
