With just a 2 inch spacer kit and no lift, the 285's will likely rub. I have 285 Ridge Grapplers with the ToyTec Boss lift and still get a little rub on the body mount from the front left tire on reverse left turns...

Has anyone ever heard of upgraded AT tires, like KO2s, wearing out the X-REAS faster than normal? Or has anyone experienced that?

Looks great. How do you like the Wildpeaks so far? Current KO2 owner and thinking about switching.

I don’t have complaints about the tires but I think it’s because mine is P rated ,so it’s really smooth on pavements.

They do have LT rated in that size if you are interested but I’m sure it will ride stiffer.

I'm also thinking about going P rated. Have you noted any significant impact to braking, acceleration or MPG?

Had 265/70-17 KO's (not 2's) on my '13 Limited with no ill effects for 30K+ miles in a 5 1/2 years.

Tried to send you this lousy pic of the Revtek front leveling kit. but it wouldn't go in a private message.

Just went thru this myself. Decided on a wrap, turned out poor. The edges on the fog lights didnt wanna stay in form and started to lift quick. Ended up pulling all the wrap and went plastidip and very happy with the results. Had the front grill on my trd dipped for 2 years and not one issue or chip.

Could have just been a poor wrap job or cheap vinyl the guy used but i wasnt very impressed at all. Was super easy to pull all the chrome bits off and spray them off the bumper to get all edge coverage to avoid lifting/peeling of the plastidip.

How did you go about removing all of the chrome pieces to spray them? Do they pop off, or did you have to loosen from the back of the bumper? Thanks in advance.

Swapped for Trail hood.

Swapped with a new Trail owner in Texas. Cost was zero except for a couple of tanks of fuel to meetup and my OEM cargo cover that was just sitting in my shop unused.

I want to do the same swap, just haven't seen anyone close by yet. I guess the VIN sticker is not swappable either on the hoods?

lol, there an no vin stickers on the hood. Can you show where removing the emission sticker is a violation? What about repaired/replaced hoods?

They don't put VIN stickers any more on the body parts? I know my 2000 Camry had them on all the parts, but I never looked at the 4runner yet. So I assumed it had it. But either way, if it doesn't have one, then this is a non-issue, if it does, be nice to switch it to match the hood and car it went with.

There is no criminal offense issue with the stickers on the hood. lol

Repeats of the vin on assorted parts still exists as a theft deterrent but are not official vin plates or frame stamped id's. If those other labels are taken off/obliterated or replaced are not violations of anything, just like mattress tags. Now vin repeats that return to a stolen vehicle/component will lead to further investigation of the vehicle itself.
