Limited Edition Mod Thread

I was relieved and stoked to find that 275/70R17 BFG KO2's fit easily on my 2019 Limited with no trimming or pushing of any fender liners. I wish someone made a 265/75R17 tire, but instead, I'll end up going to 18 inch wheels for summer too, so I can run a 265/70R18 tire instead. Should be a viable way to increase static ground clearance without having to hack up the car.

285 or wider width tires look stupid on these trucks, like a little kid playing dress up and wearing their parents shoes.

Thanks for your pics. You saved me a ton of time! Once installed (did it last year), is it easy to change out the lens by unscewing the 4 setscrews and inserting another lense plate?

Traded my 2016 for a 2019, and made a few changes:

Then the DIY mods begin: HIDs, LED interior conversion, front end partial blackout

Some other things waiting for break in and a dyno:

So I think I've gotten antsy enough to trade my '12 LTD for a '20 LTD. I really like that partial blackout for the front end. Is that vinyl wrap or plastidip?

Hey all, I really appreciate this thread. I just picked up a 2016 a week ago and the mods have started.

So far just some small things like tint and removing running boards.

Eventually I want to replace the wheels, but living with them for now.

Day one:

After full tint and board removal:

NO issues here. Just notice a little more wheel noise, but since the Terra are much more aggressive than the Geolander factory I expected this.

Just when I think I'm about done... Ordered my RAV4 Mirrors this morning!

Also, do you like the aFe intake? Any 'real' noticeable change?

Hi can you send larger pic of your nightshade. i want to add after market
running boards/nerf bars to my nightshade.

want to see how they look but cant zoom in on your pic.

did you install without having to change/remove rocker pannels ?

cheers

bumper swap today

I've been accumulating parts over the past 6 months and got the final pieces in last week.

Tackled this today. Not that tough of a job. I did it myself and it would have been a bit easier with a helper during some steps.

I did the Chinese TRD grill (lights still to do) and I'm not thrilled with the fitment. Granted...it's like a quarter of the cost. Going to try and work it a bit more tomorrow with a heat gun.

You can see on one of the pics how much lower the limited bumper sits compared to the trail/TRD. There is some trimming you need to do, but it's not difficult just a little time consuming.

Also went with the RCI filler plate. I'm happy with the results (once I fiddle with the TRD bar more).

Looking good. It looks like you didn't keep your front proximity sensors on the new bumper.

Good eye :)

Yes. The sensors are sitting in the basement. The rears still work and I do not get any type of errors. Honestly, usually have it turned off because I usually have my bike hitch 1UP rack and it's constantly going off. Not a huge loss.

Looks awesome. Did you relocate the parking sensors ? If so, can you post a picture of them.

Thanks

I disconnected the front sensors. The rears work fine.

Didn’t feel like drilling holes for not much benefit. Plus I was getting tired....

I’m in the process of doing the same bumper conversation. Most of the parts I got used as well. But there is this one item I’m not sure if I need to order. It looks like a skid plate ? But I’m planning to use the TRD Pro skid plate, so do I need this ? It’s #14.

Thanks [emoji2957]

I have the RCI skid and bumper fill plate.

#14 in that pic isn't needed for my build as this: Bumper Filler Plate | 10-Present 4Runner – RCI Offroad
takes that place.

You do not need that plastic piece. It is not needed or compatible with the TRD skid plate.
