Limited Edition Mod Thread

I couldn’t get two feet out of my driveway without a ticket for the front window being tinted hahaha looks awesome but how do you drive at night?

Anyone here try going with lighter wheels, keeping the stock tire size for MPG improvement? The stock wheels weigh an eye-popping 37 lbs. Getting those into the mid-20s would likely help quite a bit, Id imagine.

MPG? It's not a Prius! LOL!

And I’m glad its not, haha! The limited, even in stock form does everything I need a vehicle to do. It’s also the most comfortable cruiser Ive ever owned. I drive across the country from SLC, Utah to Northwestern Wisconsin a few times a year. Gaining a few MPGs without making any compromises wouldnt be so bad. Coming from the car world, reducing un-sprung weight was always a goal to improve performance. I know many of us are looking to improve off-road prowess. It’s just not quite my goal. our vehicles are sporting 78lbs per corner, thats heavy AF.

Anyone running a TRD Pro skid plate with a Fabtech 6” lift? Just want to know what modifications need to be done to fit.

Thanks! I did the Daystar leveling kit for now until the XREAS starts wearing out. I'm running BFG KO2's (275/70/17). Planning on blacking out the rest of the chrome on the bumpers.

Is there anything fundamentally different about the 2021 w/XREAS that won’t work with the Daystar lifts?

Hard to tell if a company just didn’t update their product description or if that is a legitimate model year cutoff for a reason.

A couple of phases to black out the chrome.

Got to take my UnLimited out to the lake in preparation for our 3 day trip down the Sabine River

Hello, I’m sure you’ve been asked this many times, but I can’t find the answer anywhere. Do you know if the front bumper is removed on a 2015 Limited 4Runner, is it the same underneath as a trd?

Here is my 2016 LE

Dobinsons IMS, 3"/2" springs, & UCA
SCS Rays 10
Toyo AT3 285/70/17 C load
Only did fender liner mod.

I’m hoping to copy your set up almost exactly. Can you add a photo from the side? My 2016 black limited has 82k on it and I’m thinking about deleting the xreas and 20 inch stock wheels for 285 70 17

I added Aries Aerotread Running boards and OEM mud flaps to the Nightshade. Best running boards ever. Tuck up nice and clean. The rear mudflaps didn't quite fit because of the Nightshades additional rear valence. Only held on with one original screw location and I had to drill 2 new holes in the plastics.

It is not. If you want to switch from a Limited to a TRD or SR5 front bumper the inner support and a few other parts need to be swapped as well.

You can still have a “TRD” (I have been corrected, it’s called “Heritage”) grille and keep your Limited bumper.

Parts PZ327-35056 for the upper mesh, and PZ323-35058 for the “TOYOTA”, no?

Finally pulled the trigger on a lift kit, back ordered but one step closer. Has anybody regretted getting rid of the xreas?

Had my limited for about a year and a half.

What did you end up getting if you dont mind me asking? My suspension is starting on it's last leg and I'm looking as well. Thanks.

What prevented you from the OME nitro shocks? I was thinking about the med kit.

Honestly all the options and opinions on them kind of made my head spin so I stuck with the kits I was able to drive personally, which were only a few, and these bilstein’s worked best for what I’d use them for and the price.
