Limited Edition Mod Thread

did you swap the rocker trim as well? it looks like the version from the trails

These are the nightshade stock rocker trim/panels.

Interested to know, want to know if running boards could now fit more than half a foot.

Ive ordered the n-fab nerf side steps for the limited, and I’ll share additional pics once installed. It sounds like you may already be familiar with these. Hopefully they dont look like hell. My wife is a little over 5 feet tall and she needs the steps now, hah.

Sadly with it being overcast out here, not many great pics I can take over the past few days. Ill try to share some more that are a more complete side profile, and hopefully a bit better lit to help you kinda see whats going on a lil better. Here’s another try anyway!

I have about 700 miles on the new suspension and two severe snowstorms on the cooper at3 4s. Best handling tire I’ve ever had for wet/snow conditions. Nerf bars steps installed. After the ECU retune I’m seeing close to stock MPG numbers but still gathering more info. Couldn’t be happier. Hope you’re all having a great weekend.

Averaging ~17.6-18.7 MPG @75 MPH (cruise control set) highway with the OTT tune. Averaging 15-17.5mpg city, depending on driving style. 2.5 inches of lift, 285/70/17s on the vehicle. I’d imagine with the stock setup this would be better than stock mpg.

Limited Tires and Bumper Q's

Looking for recommendations for the following:

1) AT tires for the stock 20 inch wheels. I remember researching this a few years ago and concluding there were no good options. Has that changed?

2) Best fitting rear bumper option to replace damaged stock bumper? Ideally aluminum but I think that maybe is not on option from my research; so steel would work as well.

Thanks!

I have a rear limited bumper in black if you need, I can sell it low cost. As for tires, some have tried 275/55.
On my spare, I have 275/60 and it still fits underneath.

Center Console tray
• Brand: JKCOVER
• From: Amazon
• My Rating: 6/10
• Would I buy again? Meh. Prob not.
• Notes: not a fan of not being able to close the console unless the tray is pushed forward. It slides back a lot and is annoying

LED INTERIOR Bulbs
• Brand: AUTOGINE 16 piece LED 6000K
• From: Amazon
• My Rating: 8/10
• Would I buy again? Yes
• Notes: YouTube various install videos before you do this. Then it’s easy. Bright, might be too much for some. Did not install in vanity.

Cell phone holder cup mount
• Brand: CTYBB cup holder cradle
• From: Amazon
• My Rating: 7/10
• Would I buy again? Yes, a tad wobbly tho

Molle panel and upper Molle
• Brand: Tac1
• From: Tac1
• My Rating: 5/10
• Would I buy again? Prob not, different brand yes, prob would have done rago
• Notes: not the best fit as far as angles. had to bend each bracket 20 more degrees, that’s not easy. Also switched out the 1/4 fasteners for M6s, why mix types in a truck that is metric? Rattles. But. I really like the roof Molle for fishing rods. So. Meets my needs. Fasteners droop, and rattle. I’m an engineer and have ocd. This drives me nuts.

Front camera and rear override
• Brand: Anytime
• From: Anytime
• My Rating: 8/10

Notes: about a 5hr job if you are anal. Wanderlost overland on YouTube helped research. Put center low. Good fit.

Roof rack
• Brand: Prinsu, full length no drill
• From: Prinsu
• My Rating: 8/10
• Would I buy again? A rack? Yes. This one? On the fence
• Notes: modified mounting for no silicone. Search no drill no silicone thread for details. I Very much like the prinsu profile vs others. 2” cross bars better for my needs than some others which are 3” a few taps were short, and one of the large fender washers rusted in 1 year. In socal.

• From: Bilstein and OME, via 88Rotors in LA
• My Rating: 10/10

Tires and Wheels
• Brand: Icon vector 6, Toyo AT3 P285/70R17
• From: Icon, Toyo via 88Rotors in LA
• My Rating: 10/10
• Would I buy again? Yes
• Comments: quiet, combo same weight as stock. Required fender liner mod, mud flap delete, and for me a BMC. I think I could have pushed the caster forward and avoided a BMC but, now any idiot can do an alignment without worry.
