Limited Fender Mod

Hey guys,

Seems like I've been searching for ever. Could anyone point me towards a right up on modding the fender liners on a 2011 Limited? I've read this one but I believe the liner is different on the limited model.

THanks for your help.

That's harpers writeup after he did the TE conversion I believe as those look to be TE liners. But the concept is exactly the same. Just detach the liner at the front of the wheel, pull it forward and reattach with new holes.

I did the fender mod to my Limited (Dremel and heat gun). The idea is the same as reported in Harper's mod write-up.

I loosened all the screws that I could see underneath and then pushed/pulled the liner towards the front of the truck to see just how much I could move it.

Then I used a Dremel with small drill bit to elongate the main hole. While holding the liner as far forward as I could, I tightened the screw of the elongated hole.

For the screw on the underside closest to the outside of the fender, I drilled a new hole about 1/2" from the old one, to help hold the liner forward.

I only gained approx 1/2" and was still getting some rubbing with my Cooper AT3 275/70R17. So I grabbed my heat gun and heated the liner rib that runs vertical and pushed that in. The driver's side had the more rubbing compared to the passenger side.

Good luck

Thanks

Thanks guys. Appreciate the information. New to the forum and learning lots. Came from a Subaru WRX so the Truck talk is a bit foreign to me.
