Hello, found another wire, that i cannot figure out and is bugging me. Anyone have a clue what the wire in the pic (far left of the three) does? This is on a vehicle i bought used, but the color of the tape and way its in there looks factory. thank you! again, 2014 limited with JBL and NAV.

Maybe it went to the aftermarket head unit they swapped out before putting stock back in and selling?

I really want to agree, as you were responsive on my other post about the usb, well, got deeper today as i installed my wire harness for backup camera and came across this. It just looked so factory sitting there, with the way it had the braided cable and all and how it was routed in the rear. I just couldn't figure it out. Maybe a really good tech did the job. I am guessing so since nothing is not working. Thanks for the help.

My truck is half apart as I rewire all my accessories, I'll look around in there to see if anything looks like that connector. Since we both have LE it's probably the same back there. Agree on the factory looking tape concern.

I agree with USB/ aux input. Is there a dead USB port in the glove box?

Interesting. I posted the usb mystery questions a few days ago. But how does it go from standard usb to this connector type? i think you are on to something though. Logically makes since, but i really think where this usb is routed was aftermarket. Maybe the previous owner didn't like the glove box input, and moved it? Let me know how I could get this to a USB.

Thanks

It's a butt plug.

DO NOT post pics if you try it out.
