I have search and read some of the threads. I am confused. Is remote starting standard with the limited and its factory remote? Do I have that feature? I have a 2010 model. Thanks

He Look....it appears the keyless remote start is only available on the SR5 series, as well as the back up sensors. I'm assuming you don't need the sensors due to the navigation system camera.

You can always add an aftermarket remote start, which honestly....may be a good idea. The remote start on the SR5 turns off as soon as you hit the unlock key. Not sure why they designed it to do that, but it's nice having it either way. :)

Hope this helps.

Limited have a keyless start feature not a remote start. We have to push on the brakes and push the smart start button on the dash. Limited can have remote starters installed.
The toyota ones are for all model runners, a dealer will know which one is right for the limited. My dealer is gonna install one on my limited in a couple of weeks.

wow, interesting. do they use the stock remote / keyless device? That would be nice if they can program it on there. May I ask how much? There are so many thing on the 4 runner I don't know about. I still have to fine out how to re-set the MPH thing on top of the radio. in the dash.

I have a Limited (2010) and have remote start on the factory fob. Don't recall of the top of my head if it came standard or if I paid for it.

Does your fob have the white tag with the remote start instructions?

No, no tag that I know of. Is it just in the remote? My remote looks similar to yours. I know it sounds dumb, but its silver just like one I saw in another thread and he claims he has the remote starter. BTW, thanks.

According to my manual, I am suppose to press some buttons on top near the display. I have to back and re-read it. You say its from the head unit?

Does it display mpg on the fly? It dose on our limited Sienna, and that's an 06, so I can only assume it does it in my 2010 4 rummer. What do you think. I am not very good at programming these electronic things.

yeah.. it calculates it on the fly, but the accuracy is debatable. I log my mileage in a spreadsheet and calculate the actual from there.

the number doesn't move at all. Its stays at 15.6 for ever. I think it was at 16. 4 when I bought the truck. I know that number is suppose to move as you move uphill or down. Do you think its time to make a trip to the dealer. it has 26k miles. There are so many electronic things on the to learn. I am going to look at my manual again later this evening. If not, I will be back here pestering everyone.

no, it's fine.. when u reset it.. it'll go up and down more until it finds a solid average.. then if you drive differently or tow something causing much worse mileage.. it'll recalculate and start changing..

on the navigation head unit: press info. Press fuel consumption. Press clear button in the top bar of the screen. This will reset the mileage at the top of the dashboard as well as the graph in the fuel consumption screen.
