Limited Ventilated Seats opinions

In general I like it, but it depends on what I'm wearing. I barely feel it through my jeans at even the highest setting. Sometimes I go with just the ventilation and no a/c and it's perfect.

One thing I like about the 4Runner's controls: it's a physical knob, so it'll remain on between restarts. I've had rentals with digital controls for the ventilation and heat -- it was irritating to have to turn it on each time I started the car.

Here's another aftermarket option offered by most dealers if you're wanting ventilated seats but not really interested in the Limited to get them.

I might just have to get these!!!... but that means Ill have to get leather skins for the rear seats too so it all matches!

The limited ventilated seats work well. I have a 2016 and a please with how well the work. I had them in my 08 lexus the the limited work much better.

I put Katzkin leather in my TE, but not the heated and cooled seats... $995 additional per seat, really???

Cooled seats always feel like I'm sitting on a wet seat.

Like others in this thread, ventilated seats were part of the decision to upgrade to a Limited. Love them, especially in summer. Keeps swamp ass in check here in the south

I agree and like the controls on the 4Runner / another thing that drove me crazy on my Wrangler - the remote start would not heat my seats till I hit the button and don't miss that.

Funny story on the ventilated seats (they are awesome btw) was driving home from the dealer (I purchased end of July) with the wife and occ heard a sound and pulled over and go out, what the hell, we almost went back but we figured that it was the ventilation after a few minutes, so I just don't lean forward when it's on high, it's not a bad sound just wasn't used to it :doh:

Fortunately my seats were not cooled (2005 Outback XT) or else I would have probably had more trouble with them.

Long Term -
After 8 years of use the started to get stressed and stretched, I started to see tears forming in the seat rippling along the perforations, like an expensive game of connect the dots.

So, is the 2016 Limited coming with better leather now ?.

My limited is a '12 so it has regular leather. - real leather
- Push to start
- Automatic climate controls
- 20in street tires (very little off roading, lots of pavement driving)
- JBL
- Full time 4wd
- Automatic headlights

I got stuck with auto running boards due to Limited availability, but passengers seem to think they are cool.

for me meh, if the blower was about 1/4 more power then I think they would be of use, but that just me.

now if I had the heated seats from the 16 Tacoma and cloth now that would be the shit, those buggers heat up in like 15-20 secs and they get 2x as warm as the 14 runner does.

Why folks keep pointing to "real" and/or "better" leather on the Limited ?

I think only the perforated portion of the seat is actual real leather. I think the bolsters are vinyl/softex? Also, only the Limited gets the "real" leather portion of the seats. No other trims do.

Odd. I find the heaters in my 16 to get just to the point of being too hot. Definitely better than the ones in my Ram were.

been away for awhile, stuck on the Tacoma world forums with the wardens 16 Tacoma.

anyway, the seats have a blower underneath that draws ambient air and pushes up for the ventilation effect. so whatever cold air the a/c can put out is the amount of cooling you can get.

as far the 4R heated seats, high on the 14 version is like med on the 16 Tacoma.
