List of warranty issues so far, should I be concerned?

3k miles

-Front right blown speaker- fixed by dealer
-Belt buckle rattle- fixed by dealer
-Windshield rattle (only when it's windy while driving on the highway.) still need to bring it to dealer.
-Air outlet buzz behind dashboard when changing air options. (Only happens when car sits overnight in the cold garage.) still need to bring it to dealer.
-When it shifts from first to second I sometimes get hesitation. This is sporadic.

It's almost as if I have a new issue every other week.

This just seems like way too much to go through on a brand new vehicle. Thoughts? I really hope I don't have a lemon. l love this thing.

I know...easier said than done... BUT, I wouldn't worry about these issues.

Speakers can be bad, rattles happen... As long as they're fixing these issues and they're not the same issues over and over, it's fine. There isn't much here that is indicative of a big problem. I'd argue even the hesitation is normal, though you'd probably have to elaborate on it so folks here can react. Was the tranny cold? When was it happening?

Yes it happened when the tranny was cold. A few times as I was turning and the other times while I was accelerating from a red light.

I'd put your mind at ease and just get the known issues fixed at the dealer. The truck isn't even broken in yet, so let things settle. It'll all be fine.

If you want to feel paranoid, own an Audi. That'll make you batsh*t crazy. Imagine what you'd fear things may cost and then double it. Toyotas have great build quality; you're in good hands.

perhaps you are not so lucky - all I have had in the last 11 months from new is a minor rust spot on the frame of the 3rd row seats

Oh I know. I have owned a RAV4 and Highlander previously. Ran a great long time.

The problem is if I bring it to the dealer they will want to hear the buzzing. This only happens in the a.m. snd I can't leave my vehicle at the dealer overnight.

I could do that. Just haven't figure out how/where to hold it.

Shift delays are not at all uncommon starting out cold, especially with the arrival of cooler weather. I suspect it's a bit chilly in the midwest.

If you think your rattles are bad, buy a Dodge and drive it for awhile.

My '08 T4R has been trouble-free since new, and I live in Minnesota (currently +6F). I would not let a slipping trans go without attention.

The OP mentioned "hesitation".

That's not the same as "slipping".

Again - hesitation on a cold trans 1st thing in the A.M. is not uncommon.

Just spoke with Toyota Corporate. The air outlet buzzing on the newer models is normal. Toyota had to meet some EPA standards and there are 26 overall vents back there. It does react to colder conditions which causing the buzzing, but according to them it's not a defect. Can anyone with a 2014 model who let their 4Runner sit out in the bitter cold for a long time verify this?
