Well went ahead and pulled the trigger on some skids today. Budbuilt of course. Front IFS skid and bellypan. Pretty excited for those to get here. If it ever warms up and stays warm they will go on along with the snorkel maybe body lift IF I decide to put it on and then finally get to put in the spark plugs and wires. Anyways enough rambling just wanted to say I got the skids! :dancin:

Very nice! I really like my skids. Quality is top notch. I will say this though: when you install them, make sure you get them mounted back far enough. Whoever installed them on my truck (i don't know if the owner did or a shop did), made it so the front skid has to be slid all the way forward in the slotted holes, and one of the non-slotted holes doesn't even line up so it was "screwless". lol. The mounting bar that you have to install first is the big key.

I've got both mine off right now, and I'm going to get everything plumb when I reinstall them. The belly skid was even making a "ka-WANG!" sound every time I went over a big bump at speed cause it wasn't bolted on correctly.

Ill be sure to take my time and make sure everything is bolted up right. I couldnt live with the ka-wang noise lol. That would drive me insane. Thanks!

That is another item in my to do list, post pictures of the skids.

Will do!

Is the Snorkel on?

I wish. Its just sitting up stairs in the box. Im tryong to find the tacoma intake tube I need but not having to much luck. I may have just found one on ttora but not 100% sure if its what I need exactly. If anyone knows where one is at please let me know. Hoping to have it on within a few weeks..

There are honestly NO toyotas at any local junk yard. Ive looked. All chevy's. Ive tried to look on car-part.com but I cant search for the one piece.

Haddix does the arb safari snorkle come complete, or would I need the tacoma intake tube? I thought the arb safari kit was all you need, But if I do need it I guess I should be looking for the part. By the way I really like all the mods you are doing to your runner.

It comes with everything you need except the taco intake tube. If you have an earlier 4runner there the same but ours has to have the taco tube. Thanks man. I think im almost done with it though(we will see). Looking to get another project. Either 1st gen or 60 or 80 series. Cant decide yet. Your 4runner looks great too!

Call Jacque at TRDParts4U. He can get you the intake tube part #. They are not very expensive. You could get the snorkel and the tube in the same package. Don't forget to seal with Di-Electric grease. Your installation will be complete when you can put a plastic bag over the snorkel and your enging starts to die.
