Locking differentials and hood scoops

not all, one front, and one rear, unless you have a locker. yes trac can compensate, but it's not true all wheel drive unless you have front and rear lockers.

yeah similar to the landcruiser escalade and denali, but in all wheel drive, without trac, unless there is a viscous coupling, you can lose power to 3 wheels.
that is because the trnsfer case isn't locked. with the transfer case locked (which you call 4wd) you can still lose power to 2 wheels, 1front and 1rear.
i think there is some confusion in the names. awd, 4wd, fulltime 4wd(landcruiser)

Does my 2000 have TRAC, I know it doesn't have the other, that was introduced in '01 I believe?
