I agree!! Your pics are beautiful. I would love to do what you did, or at least drive from the lower 48 north to Alaska. It was interesting to see the Dalton without snow after watching Ice Road trukers last season.

So far the farthest is only Hayward, CA to Phoenix, AZ and back.
We are planning on driving all the way to San Luis Potosi, Mexico this Christmas. Going to try to make it to Mexico City too if we have the time. :driving:

One month after I picked up my '03, new from dealer, I made two week trip of about 3,700 miles round trip. Started at home, Glenville NY, to Norman OK, then to Mansfield AR for mid-weekend, then back to Norman OK, and then back home. The next spring, '04, I made another two week trip to Norman OK, with a visit to Ft. Worth TX, back to Norman OK, made visit to Mansfield AR on way back home for about 3,900 miles RT.
In spring of '09, I made trip from home to Alachua FL for a week and back to home, 2,600 miles RT.
Over all, just over 86,000 miles on my '03 since new.

Grand Rapids MI to Jensen Beach FL, about 1370 mi. Leaving again March 6. This will be our 3rd trip down there in the 4Runner. Last year the alternator went out and delayed our trip home for a few days. Picked the 4Runner up at the dealer in Stuart FL at 8:00 at night and got home the following day at 5:00 in the afternoon with just a 1 hour nap at a rest area in northern Georgia.

Moved from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina to Kent, Washington back in July 2009. 2856 miles one way!! Took my brother and I 4 days and towed over 3500 lbs the whole way. V6 handled the job very well!

About 1900 miles in 27 hours. NY to Colorado. (than back to NY) Stopped only to get gas and food. With husband and one was driving the other sleeping in the back and switched at the gas station. Total of some 5600 miles in less than 7 days. All this twice with the 4runner. Once with a rental Sienna. The look of the rental guy when bringing the Sienna back after a week = priceless.
