Looking for a front swaybar for some R&D

I'm planning to fabricate (or at least attempt to fabricate) a quick disconnect front swaybar setup. It is quite the challenge on our trucks, so there will be some trial and error.

PM me or post here if you have one lying around that you are not using. I'll buy it if the price is right. Possibly looking for 2.

Yea, I know about those. I'm not looking for links. You cannot do just quick disconnect links on a 5th gen. The bar ends will bind and destroy the CV boots.

What I'm doing has been done before for the FJ, but nobody currently sells them... The fab work is difficult.

I will share whatever progress I make. I have some fab skills, but I feel this is over my head. I'm going to consult with a chassis builder friend of mine and will probably have certified welders do the work. I may be able to build a jig and arrange for the shop to do a few more if they will take on the job. Not promising I can make it happen, but it seems well worth the effort.

Hoping someone who runs without a front sway bar will sell theirs to me cheap, so I can keep mine on for daily driving while in progress. Worse case, the part is only $150 from Toyota. It is cheaper than I expected.

Meh, 4 bolts and twist it down. I think the KDSS works well, I often have one front LCA on the bumpstop and the other at full limit of extended travel Icon (wheel off the ground).

Not sure what you are saying, It needs to be completely removed due to the design. This is not a quick side of the road job with skids.... I would like it to be < 2 minutes to connect and disconnect.

KDSS probably works fine, but it does keep a torsional connection and has travel limits plus a ton of complexity. The hydro ram just lets the chassis connection point move up and down. I wish Toyota would do a simple side to side disconnect switch like the jeep Rubicon.

The design of the 5th gen sway bar is similar to the 4th gen and transferable. The KDSS is different as it mounts to the lower control arm, I haven't looked at it too heavily beside just glancing it over at work for issues.

I never got around to finishing the second prototype and at this point its been on the back burner for a while, I've thought about one or two design alternatives that may be better for mass production. But again, its a matter of actually getting around to making the prototypes which I haven't had much free time and energy to do with life getting in the way this past year.

Yea, I saw your post, it looked like a great design. I'm not trying to be as ambitious, I just want it to be solid and easy to remove. I don't mind having bolts as long as they are accessible.
