Hi Guys, I know I dont really post much here, but we have a 2010 T4R limited that we love. My wife drives that and as much as I would love to have 2 of them, I cant afford 2. my daily driver is a 2009 Honda civic EXL with navi that I purchase on June 26th this year. I work as a car salesman at a Ford Dealership and I have the opportunity to pick up a full loaded 2016 Fusion AWD Titanium for 350/ month with 0 out of pocket lease, my current pmt with an extended warranty included in it is $191/ month for 72 months. i am indisicive about the route I should take, any suggestions would be appreciated!

Any particular reason you want the Fusion? An extra $160 a month ain't nothing to sneeze at. At least for me.

You currently have a daily driver - the civic - correct? You purchased it, so I assume you own it.. and do you want to sell it to lease a new car, or keep it and have two daily drivers? Is there anything mechanically wrong with the civic?

In my book, keep the Civic, finish the loan, so you can get to $0/month.

Need an accountant here to figure out how much of a deal that is.

Don't know about Focus but those Titanium edition Explorer seemed awfully expensive - and that lease some how rolls that in.

I don't know how to say this, but you might be buying/leasing cars you really shouldn't be buying/leasing if you have to get a six-year loan. I bought the 4Runner outright, and the car before that was a 3-year loan. You might have been drinking the Koolaid too long at work there.

Meh, I wouldn't trade any Honda for any Ferd, for any money. You do know that "lease" is synonymous with "rent", yes?

Wife and I each have a 5th Gen 4runner but I'm looking to get a DD as well since my commute is about 50 miles round trip. Looking at either a civic or came used.

I mean no disrespect, but I've never understood this philosophy. Even if you doubled/tripled your mpg, you'd be a long, long time recovering the purchase/tags/insurance/ maintenance costs of a used car. By that time the used Civic will need money spent.

I can get a used civic for a few grand..not buying anything newer. My thing is not wanting to put miles on the 4runner and make it a dedicated weekend and Trail rig once I move back to Colorado in a year

That is a lot of money for a lot of years for a car you will be excited about for less than a year. once it is older than that it won't have any more appeal than your Honda you currently have. I would suggest saving the money pay the Honda off, if it isn't already, and enjoy the freedom of no car payment. It is a good feeling.

Unless you are getting serious pressure at work to toe the company line (i.e., they don't want any Hondas in Ford's employee parking lot), doing that swap makes no sense. As a car salesman you should know that leases are always a bad financial deal, or as mentioned, so you really believe what you're selling?

Keep the Honda with no payment, good mileage, and Honda reliability.

If they are pressuring you at work to drive a Ford, then that's another story. Is your job worth that extra cost?

Can you guys with the 1.5 rear springs and 2" rear springs post spome pics? "Slight rake" to one might be bad rake to others.
