Looking for a supplier: Rear swing out bumper weld yourself kit?

I've gotta bump this thread up, have you made any more progress? Curiosity is killing me!

LOL. I haven't forgotten about you guys, I know how it is for you guys, (like a kid in a candy store).

This is a weekend project for me, and I'm doing a few extra touches to it for my preferences. Probably mounted with pictures around Turkey day.

A write up on a few hints of how to do things different from my experience versus the I8mud write up.

Thanks, much appreciated. Took awhile putting them extra touches to it, not only welded, but built the welds up to be able to grind them down on the edges to make it look like a molded 1 piece. Do need to do a write up on this incase anyone else decides to do one of these LABS bumper.

Sorry I gave you the Jonesing, LOL. Good you picked up the welder, it comes in handy for a lot of things. Cutting up what you have and modifying what you have already comes to mind.

Now I have to cut up my SW bumper a couple "s to put 34s on.

Yeah it really came out great! I can only imagine the detail and time it takes to weld something like that, It really does look all like one piece. Can't wait to see the write up and your tire carrier all finished and mounted up.

I know i'm excited to get everything together and learn! The list of things to fab are already going thru my mind and piling up by the minute haha but first i'm going to start on my trailer which should be a great little project to learn on.

That will be sweet! That is also on my to do list to go up to 34.6" = 35" tires but i am going to let these ones wear down first and lock and re gear before that happens. Always something though it never ends, I think i'm all good with the clearance on my AOR front bumper it has a ton of clearance.I'll definitely need to do a BMC though.

Any updates? I'm very interested in one of these bumpers. I really like the solid sides you had them make. Much better than the version on the first photo.

I spoke to one of the guys at Labs and he said the tire care flexes a lot. He thinks the flex comes from twisting in the swing out. Any ideas how to keep that from happening? Did you battle it on yours some how?

I suggested that he sleeve the square tube with round tube and plug weld it.

As far as your ?, I have only done some clearance flexing at a loading ramp to see how much larger tires I can do and how much cutting off the wheel well area I might have to do and basically snow runs, no 6+ rated trails yet.

I do believe I have a picture as to where I add a gusset from the arm to the spindle housing due to I was doing preventive measures.
I made a comment as to the position of the stop position that should take care of the bunny hop that has happen to me once due to flex. Another thing I will have to address and build up a bead to over come, so there probably is a little flex issue as above statement of mine.

Side impacts are the only issue so far as I have no side/wheel well supports that Darklight I do believe posted also.
