Looking for pics of 3" suspension + 1-2" body lift AND 265/75/16 tires

Not sure if this thread is allowed so if not I'm happy to remove it. I currently have 3" suspension lift and am running 265/75/16 Duratracs. I'm interested in adding a 1-2" body lift but I'm not sure it will look right with these tires. At this point I don't want to get any bigger tires so I am seeing if I should hold off on the body lift as well. Any input/pics are greatly appreciated.

This is how she sits now

Why do you want the body lift? IMO those tires will look out of place on your rig with that hight.

My 285/75/16 Toyos almost look out of place with a 3 inch suspension lift and a 2 inch body lift. A body lift would dwarf your tires

heres my runer with 265/75/16 toyo ATs with 3" lift front and rear... I personally think I need some bigger tires, these look smallish to me

It would look ridiculous with that much body lift IMO, a 3" suspension lift alone makes 265s almost look too small.

A body lift will get you up there but it will still leave your rear axle the same height you are at now. I'm assuming your goal is to get your whole rig higher and not just the body. If this is true I would go with 255/85/16 tires. These give you a tad more height over the 285 and still provide decent mpgs. 255s are my next move.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I figured it would look off and that's why I was asking. One of the biggest reasons I'd like to do a body lift is to correct the rake I have going on. The picture above doesn't really show it that well. I have OME 883s up front and Toytec Superflex with Bilsteins in the back.

I think that if your not liking the rake you have then maybe add some trim packers or put some bags in the rear springs. It looks like you have a reverse rake, (tail sagging)? But like you said it's hard to tell.

Take a measurement, and post some numbers for us. It's pretty much agreed by most that a " center of hub, to fender) is the correct way to measure, or at least the most accurate one can get, you should read somewhere in the low to mid 20's.

There is a ton of information on suspension set up and really, it's all so overwhelming when trying to search a specific need, but if you look at the threads in the top of the 3rd gen category it has a master thread that can maybe help you out.

FYI, I'm kinda in the same boat you are, just not lifted yet. I don't wan to go up to 285's because of weight and just plain stress on the components up front, but you can go with the 255's and be at a happy medium. If you go to tire rack and look up the specs on a particular tire you want, you can find all the good information like weight, height, width and of course price, it's actually a good resource for determining what route you want to go.

Good luck!

I think 265/75/16 look perfect on 3" lift and there is no reason to add a body lift for those tires or yes the tires will look too small.

I have my 285/75/16s on a 3" lift with no body lift and it looks really beefy and a 1" body lift is probably recommended for my setup but I haven't done it yet as I do not have any rubbing issues.

Here is mine with 3" + 1" BL on 265/75's. I do sometimes long for 285's but I also do enjoy the drivability of the 265's, I don't have the gear hunting issues some do. People have mentioned i "need" bigger tires but I stand by my decision. Only time will tell what size are up next install. It could go either way.
