Looking @ getting a set of 17x9 wheels. Help with offset.

I have done a search but couldn't find the info i was looking for. I am looking into getting a set of 17x9 American Eagle wheels and want to know what offset to look for to keep in close to stock? I am not looking to widen the stance.

Oem offset is 15mm I believe. So just get something that is 15mm or less.

if you're not looking to widen the stance, common sense would suggest that the extra 2" of wheel width would then be added to the inboard side of the wheel centre line. you will absolutely run into rubbing issues on the uca's. you should be looking for an offset that will evenly split the extra width between the inside and outside of the wheel centre line, or bias the split to the outboard side.

this should help you make a bit more sense of the numbers.
