Hey guys,

I have an '04 4Runner w/ OEM Nav system. I want to update it to the latest or close to latest Nav DVD disc.

What's the latest version on that now? Does anyone have a burnt copy of it or something recent?

Help!!! Please PM if we need to take this offline. :D

Thanks!

If that's a Gen 3, Google for Toyota Lexus Navigation DVD Gen 3 v6 1 86271-33035 464210-0750

Some have reported having luck. I have not. Please post if you do.

gotta' bring this thread back from the dead.

can '04 nav systems read the dual layer discs that come in the new systems?

I'm about to DL and burn this business as an iso using nero and I don't want to waste time if the factory nav in an '04 can't even read it.

OBTW the nav ver 7.1 disk has been torrentized. try mininova. Haven't figured out how to extract and burn yet but I'll post about it if people are interested. my crap is the original disk so it's got to get updated.

I just ordered the gen 2/3 updated Nav disk from some guy on Craigslist out of San Francisco. I know I am taking a chance, but for $55 I decided to gamble. I will let you know the result, and if it works I will provide his email if anyone else is interested.

I have seen them as low as $155 on Ebay, but more typically over $200.

if you are going to gamble with buying a copy.. might as well search on torrentz for "toyota NAV"

i haven't tried it.. no dual layer DVD burner ..

took a while to figure out but these 1s and 0s are readily available on the world wide web for free. my '04 is now working flawlessly with v 7.1. I'm too much of a wimp to post about it all but I'll reply to pm's from members who were registered before I posted this.

The Navigation DVD arrived today, and it worked without a hitch. It still does not have my neighborhood on it, but it does have the street my wife was looking for last week so she is happy. I do not think it is an original, but it has offical looking graphics on the cover.

Anyway, the price was $55 delivered. If anyone is interested in the Gen 2/3, V 7.1 navigation disk (for 2003 and some 2004 Toyotas), PM me and I will provide this guys email to you.

Note: I am not guaranteeing that this guy will deliver, but he did for me.

I have the 05 limited also. Why do people list the 7.1 version as applicable? I thought it had to be a 4.x something. My current disk is a 4.2. Are we talking about a different set of numbers?
