Losing 10lbs of air in 3 weeks

06 4Runner 2WD with stock Bridgestones

The right rear tire keeps losing air about 10lbs in 3 weeks but I cannot find a nail in it. Valve stem maybe? I have 37000 miles on the tires

You've either got a bad/loose valve stem or a hole somewhere in the tire. If it were me, I'd inflate it to about 35 lbs and dunk it in a tub of water. Wherever there are leaks you'll see bubbles.

I had the same issue with my work truck 2 weeks ago(both rears). I took it to the service station to get looked at. Both rear tires had nails in them. $40 later they were patched and ready to go.

You definitely have a nail in your tire. Hopefully it can be patched and you will be good to go.

You have a leak! Take it to a tire shop and let them dunk the tire in the tub of water, to find the leak.

You could also make a soapy solution and spray it on the tires. The leak will bubble.

I had a tire with a leak like that and I took it back to the tire place. He insisted that the tire was fine. After awhile of constantly checking the tie, I bought a can of tire stop leak, it is a can of air with something that stops a small leak.

Other kinds of leaks include a bad "rim seat" or a bad valve stem.

Either way, a shop can diagnose and fix in 15 minutes.

Could be a bad bead set around rim. sometimes dirt and other crap gets in the bead and causes it to leak.

DO NOT use this stuff on any vehicle equipped with tire sensors, unless you want to buy new ones.

I had this problem happen to me 2 times in the past,same tire.

Shop couldnt find leaks due to punctures or valve stem problems.

He said it was probably grit/dirt somehow got in the bead between rim and tire.

Both times it happened after using the car wash with tracks.
I normally dont use it but in the winter time I dont like leaving road salt on the paint.
