dude in an integra ls manual with a loud ass exhaust tried to pull one on me at a red light. well, it was either he was gunna rear end a parked car, or side swipe me, cuz i was not letting him pass. he tried hard as hell too but his car was just tooo weak, and my car had 5 passengers and a trunk full of luggage (just picked them up from the airport). all of my passengers were laughing and were amazed by the strength of the 4runner. to me it's not racing, its just showing people who has the right of way. ;):

So let's see now, you put you and your 5 passengers in jeopardy, possibly caused the person in the other car to be seriously injured or perhaps killed, because you wouldn't let him by, just to satisfy your ego and show someone, you don't know, who has the right of way. If there was an accident and someone was killed because of your stupidity, would you and your passengers be laughing and "amazed at the strength of your 4Runner" then?

That's nuts, I hope you're kidding and this is just a joke.
:(

biglatka,

thanks for your concern, but i would never put my passengers in jeopardy. i did not mention how fast we were going did i? cuz it was not fast at all. being in an inner street of chicago we barely reached 30 by the time the guy had to merge. i was barely out of first gear. i would admit my stupidity if were were on a highway going 100mph, hell i'd be stupid to pull that stunt at 55 mph (speed limit). that's why i said to me it's not racing, it's just the fact that even going up to 30 mph not all manual transmissions can beat a truck as opposed to what was said by JungleJim. so relax, i was just trying to prove my point in a nicer way instead of saying straight out that someone that i believe is wrong is stupid.

Oh, so you were on a Chicago inner street, where there are many pedestrians out and about (if it's anything like New York City). That somehow makes it safer than going a 100 mph on the highway? Kind of a twisted logic to me.

I'm relaxed, as long as you and I are not on the same highway. I don't believe you're wrong, I know your wrong. That was a stupid, reckless thing to do. I bet any state trooper observing your behavior would think the same thing too.

Enough said, a word to the wise is sufficient.

How about taking this tit-for-tat BS to the private messages. You flamers make me sick.

Happy to see you both have opinions...yippy, but to bitch at each other in a public forum is ridiculous and serves no point, but to take an otherwise good thread and turn it sour.

yes, i'm sorry for spoiling the thread. getting back to the topic, legends are strong cars. my friend owns one, but it's a 4 door automatic. it's not as strong as the 6-speed coupe and i've never tried to race it with my truck, but i think it'll beat me stock.
