Lower control arms

As I'm nearing 300,000 miles, LCA's probably could be replaced soon. Wondering if anyone has had any luck with aftermarket arms or are OEM Toyota arms recommended only? Also need new hardware as well. Will any 5th gens swap? Thanks in advance!

I just got done doing OEM arm and all new OEM hardware. Make sure you buy Diablo Demon Carbide sawzall blades for cutting the old bolts. Thank me later.

Do you happen to have a list of all the oem part numbers for the arm, bushings, and hardware? Planning on taking care of this in the near future.

LCA Driver Side - 48069-60010
LCA Passenger - 48068-60010

Front Cam Adjuster Sleeve - 48409-60020
Front Cam Adjuster Nut - 48452-35020
Front Cam Adjuster Bolt - 90119-14120

Rear Cam Bolt - 48190-60020
Rear Cam Nut - 90179-14069
Rear Cam Plate - 48198-6011

Minus the LCAs themselves, you will need 2 of everything listed above to do both sides. Make sure you get those aforementioned blades, and also don't forget to put anti seize on the new parts going in so that they can be adjusted in the future without freezing up.

I installed a 1Aauto arm on one side and a used OEM arm on the other in 2017 and no problems so far. The 1Aauto comes with bushings installed and ball joint installed. I added some additional grease to the BJ before install.
I used all OEM alignment adjust hardware.
I don't off-road so that may have an effect on long term reliability and durability, but for $130 its worth a try.

5th Gen?

I'm casually looking as well but have been looking at the 5th Gen take-offs. I thought they should work with the 4th Gen. Price looks good when I've seen them on FB. Anyone can confirm 5th Gen LCA?

I bought an aftermarket. It comes with the bushing and balljoint. I don't off-road much so it's good. No issues so far. Saved a lot on cost.

Ebay LCA Lower control arms

I got the ebay LCA and i use my 4Runner for more off roading then the average person on here i bet. I take it to trails at least 2x a week. And these are serious trails. I had no complaints at all.

Only issue installing these on my 4Runner was that one of the cam bolts was seized so i had to cut it off.

Both my lower ball joints are leaking. Might pick these up soon.

I say keep the OEM hardware and get the urethane insert kits. The stock rubber bushings simply can't handle off roading and just rip apart. The good thing is that if you do urethane, you will never have to worry about breaking the bushings or noisy suspension. The uni-ball UCA's and LCA's all make a ton of noise, especially the heim joint versions. If you wan't your truck to sound like the Titanic hitting every rock ever conceived by humanity, ebay has lots of awesome chinese parts available.

Where do I get these urethane inserts? I wanted to change the whole LCA becuase I heard the ball joint is a paint to remove.
