You guys should wheel more!!

im too nervous with shit breaking, as this time. I dont like climbing rocks anyway, too much risk of rollover. Personally i dont want to take my 10k+ vehicle and attempt to slap it against the rock for some "fun". Although i will rip it down logging roads, dirt roads and small trails and sand because it has less harm and is still fun.

agreed - i hate rocks.

The rig at 3:12 is awesome and the last flip was also awesome. Most of those are just people putting their rigs beyond their limits. I often worry about flipping when I am out navigating off camber sections of trails.

Kind of shocking how some seemingly small bumps were all it took to flip them over. And just a friendly reminder that we're not immune either....(but at least the 4R ended upright) :wink2:

lol that obstacle is called "flipper"

I have yet to find a 4th gen flipping and hope I never see it

Put on some 1.5" spacers

Pulling off my wheels i hit a snag.

I rubbed only on the corner of the rear of the flare. Quick trim and all is good.

thanks! Ill get some day shots tomorrow when i fix my wheel stud. I like the look of it a LOT better with the spacers.

I didn't say I like all those rocks and boulders I tend to find, and that I like to do that kind of things personally. It's just all those fishing holes I try to get to, they tends to appear on the trails to get to them fish. Must be a better spot to fish, no average vehicle is going to attempt to get in there. Besides, it kills my back getting to them with all them obstacles.

are you guys torquing those to spec? i have a few friends who have snapped them off to. kinda strange that it happens so often on a relatively new

When I broke them on the 04, was using the factory tire iron.

On the 08, I switch street rims to off road rims several times a year, use a impact all the time, haven't snap one yet.

i was just curious. i just replaced 3 broken studs on my coworkers 2012 taco. not sure if it was cheap studs from the factory or something. just seemed strange to me.

The front are easy to replace, not much in the way. But the rear are PIA's man lol you have to finagle the new stud in around all the parking brake components. I use one of those magnet extension "things" lol You kinda use your fingers to get the stud in the area you need it then stick the magnet through the wheel stud hole. take a screw driver and then line up the stud so the magnet can pull the wheel stud through.

Found some time to install my Fox Resi Shocks

These ride great. I went over the worst patch of pavement i know of around here and I just glided right over. Very impressed. Now i need to save my pennies for coilovers!
