Sounded like you were going to do a retrofit instead. Why did you decide to buy those instead? I have been thinking the same things as well. Did just buy some spec halos from TiN but may use the specs while doing retro. Just not sure yet.

I had been wanting to find a set of the OEM 03 style lights in good shape but all the ones i have come across haven't been in good shape. Another member was selling his OEM set of 06 style lights for a great price so i just pulled the trigger.

Looking for some help with some opinions on my painting situation.

I got a quote from my buddy who runs a shop that helps paint for NASCAR and he quoted me around $600 for my fenders to be painted to top quality. I told him i was going to get a sport hood and i have the stupid little headlight filler plates as well ill need painted.

Dont forget this color is a real bear and paint fade is all over my vehicle. Its like a technicolor dream coat if you look at it close enough. Liver spotted paint and the works! So he knew about that and went and looked at it, gave me a big price overall for a full on paint job because itll need it in the next 5 years as an idea for me. Then he gave me a quote on a flat blue wrap. The total paint job was $5-7lk depending on what all i really wanted to do. Also told me the wrap would be $2800. Just the fenders $600.

I really dont know what to do now as none of its in my "budget" but i want an idea in the back of my head of what i should do when it comes time. Ill be running blue panda for awhile but when i get the hood itll really look like the dream coat front clip.

I like that with a wrap when you get sick of it you can peel it off and be back to square one, but they don't last forever, although they are durable. Paint will be more long term for sure. If you don't care if the paint is top notch, just have him match the paint as best he can.

I would say, Dip your car dot com "plasti dip" Atleast for awhile until your budget is ready for the whole car. Can do whatever color you want and it holds up well.

ive debated doing that as well as buying color matched spray from paintscratch.com to at least get them painted for now.

Not that my opinion should have any impact on your decision, but please don't plasti dip your truck. If you feel confident painting then at least get some matched spray and just make sure you go to town on it with wet sanding and polishing.

This is what Im doing over my winter break. I couldnt bear to spend $500 to get my fenders painted so I figure silver will look better than white, even if its not a perfect match or paint job.

got the fenders on. Meant to do the headlights but i need her bulbs for just about everything so i need to do some research on the bulbs and wire in the proper plugs. Fenders fit great, only had to sand one area and the lines are pretty damn good.

I don't care what anyone says, I like the prerunner fenders. I wish they had them for the rear too though. I know there was a company in Japan supposed to be making them, but I think they stopped. :(

Love it! Really aggressive.

I emailed that company and asked if they could do the first layer in visual carbon fiber, but I don't think they understood the request. Sounded like they thought I wanted them completely made of CF. Man CF pre-runner fenders would look sick on a black truck.

Please tell me you're going to get them painted to match the factory color. I love your build and feel like the white fenders are taking away from it :(

After dealing with him for over 3 months and after cutting and drilling in to the glass. I now know why hes so aloof. Hes a nice guy, easier to reach by phone...when they answer.

I planned on keeping it white, i like the contrast and i can now cal it blue panda. ;)

of course im going to paint them, i had to test fit and check the gaps and all that entails with fiberglass fenders. Itll be a little bit but eventually it will be painted to match. Yes.
