LTDSC Build Thread

I'm still trying to figure out why my rear end is so harsh. So I took baseline photos to see if I hit anywhere.

Nothing out of the ordinary there. So I took the jack and jacked up one side of the axle to compress as far as I could before the other rear wheel came off the ground.

So with nothing touching I was a bit stumped. So I decided to remove the rear shock and cycle it off the vehicle in case any issues arose there.

Found my issue there, they're. Not charged anymore. So I'm going to take them to get rebuilt, revalved and inspected.

Can't decide if I want to sell after rebuilding or just throw them back on.

Extended measurement is 27", collapses is 17". I can easily buy a KING 2.5 smoothie with resi for $700 and match. So I may try to sell these.

Does your suspension go all the way down and hit the bumps??
How much does it cost to rebuild the fox? I need to put the superbumps on my rear too. So harsh when it bottoms out...

It hits the superbumps normally when I jump it otherwise I barely see full compression. Lately though any sharp hit with the rear and it feels like I hit the stops but I don't. That's what made me look into wtf is going on in the rear. Rebuild is $70 and revalving is another $15

Oh that's way cheaper than I thought! Ya my rear is harsh but I attribute that to crappy Bilsteins valving, leaking, and the spacer back there. Lol

I really want to throw 2.5 kings in the rear to match but I may try to re valve these and see how they do first. If not I'll throw them up for sale.

Bought these at a steal. 2.5 King w/resi 8" stroke. Going to buy the +1" rod end with the 3/4" heim end the 4Runner calls for.

Well my king deal fell apart with the lower mount unable to be correct. So in my sadness i did a little retail therapy.

I have these on the way. 10" 2.5 2 tube King Bypasses with remote resi.

I knew you had to be on here [emoji23]
Too sick man
I see your 4runner everyday
I work up the street from you at east bay tire
I always just roll by hella slow wanting to stop and take a closer look at it.

What's the item # on those bad boys? You helped me decide what I'm buying today.

they're custom order. 10" stroke 2 tube bypasses with a welded end to remove 1" overall length. These are also not direct bolt on. Im custom fabbing mounts for them.

Awesome build and thank you for taking all the time to document everything. I really like the aesthetics and attention to detail you have. Awesome resource and an awesome t4r! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the rear shock mounts.
