Magnaflow Overland catback exhaust Group Buy on FB

Got my Magnaflow Overland exhaust system installed last night. With the exception of having to torch off the bolts where my factory exhaust bolts in behind the cat, it went exceptionally smooth.

My initial impressions are that this is a very well designed product. Fitment was flawless and everything bolted together with ease. Exhaust was installed in less than 30 mins once the old one was out.

Stoked on this. Thanks for the shots Addison.

Awaiting response from SRQ on pricing.

I pm'd you guys the pricing as sometime SRQ can take a bit. They are busy guys. I had already ran sharing this pricing by SRQ for a past inquiry.

We are 2 people away from level 3 pricing! As soon as we get those two commitments we can open up the site for orders and get everything rolling with Magnaflow!

Sadly, I need that money for my kid's Xmas. I'll be paying full price later on.....:sobbing:

Somebody needs to step up here - the price break at tier 3 is decent.

Ordered!

Since it's stainless steel I can just keep it in the box and put in storage, install it a year or two from now so I get the mileage on my gibson Catback Exhaust system since that was a few years ago and starting to show signs of slight rust, definitely not as shiny as the magnaflow

Thanks for the pics and review! So how is the highway drone? I assume it’s less than other systems but no way to quantify it.

That pretty much confirms it for me. Sooner we hit tier three and can place our orders the better! Three more people!

Now that's I've had it on for a couple days.... As mentioned I have the longer resonator tube on, which is the "quieter" way to set this up. I've ran a few exhausts before (Magnaflow, Borla, TRD, etc) and I say it is definitely "moderate" for sound level. I think it's very similar to the TRD exhausts on the 2nd Gen Tacomas and FJ Cruisers (as another reference point). The sound ramps up a fair bit at the 3500-4000RPM mark but is quite reasonable at the 2500 range. I have a manual and at 60MPH, in 5th gear, on flat ground (not under serious engine load) the exhaust is slightly louder than stock. Of course, once you roll into more throttle you do hear it.

IMO a performance exhaust with "zero drone" does not exist. They might get you 90% of the way there but if you can't stand ANY extra noise I would always suggest you stick to a stock exhaust.

If I were to rate the exhaust (short term with only a few days of driving time of mixed city and highway) I would say: (scale of 1-3 with 3 being Very Satisfied)

Build Quality: 3/3
Fitment: 3/3
Sound Quality: 3/3
Drone/Interior Noise: 2/3

Also a quick photo of the exhaust exit that I snapped:

wow that looks sick. Damn thanks rickashay for posting that. Your the man. can't wait to hear it.

No problem. I felt it was my duty as being one of the first to get this thing! lol I'll still drop a short video, but won't have it done until next week.

Yep.. That's Magnaflow quality. Looks like jewelry and it'll end up still looking like that in 20yrs. This is a solid option for OEM replacement

Totally is!

NP. Will pair well with the S/C.

We did it. cdrewferd sealed the deal.

Awesome guys! I'll do an IG post today or tomorrow and hopefully get a couple more people in the GB. Thanks SRQ for running this! It's also pretty rad that a fellow 3rd Gen member actually was the head engineer for this. Good community here!

Absolutely agree and thanks again for the review! The helmholtz resonator doesn’t eliminate all drone, just meant to address the problem areas to some extent. As long as it’s tolerable on long drives that’s the main thing! Can always add another resonator later thanks to the slip on design!
