Just avoid 4WheelParts, I've heard too many bad things. I bought mine as is used, but I'd recommend MidState Toyota. They aren't in Charlotte but I've heard nothing but great things.

Absolutely. I've got many friends who have worked with MidState and have heard nothing but good things. Ask for Justin Dorton, he runs their "MidState Off-road" group and he's a part of Rock Creek Overland. He's got a sweet new Tacoma all decked out.

Waiting for my roof rack, both front and rear bumpers, and c4 fuel tank skid plate. My snorkel is sitting in my living room and I just need to pull the trigger on drilling the fender.

When i build a trail premium in mag grey toyota's website says:
"This color is only available with Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) .
Price Change (+$1750)"
Is that correct a trail premium is not available without KDSS?

I could be wrong but I believe the KDSS is what separates the Trail from SR5 and the TRD. Maybe someone can confirm as I have an SR5.

Looks like you must take the KDSS if you want Mag. Gray, Barcelona Red or Midnight Black.

Correct. KDSS is solely added to the Trail Edition 4Runners sold on the west coast. Though I am not sure where that exact division line is for Toyota of who would and wouldn't have access to a 4Runner with or without KDSS.

That isn't true of the existing inventory (i.e., what is on the dealers' lots). Just for instance: Cars for Sale: New 2016 Toyota 4Runner in Trail Premium, SALT LAKE CITY UT: 84101 Details - Sport Utility - Autotrader and Cars for Sale: New 2016 Toyota 4Runner in Trail Premium, Madison WI: 53718 Details - Sport Utility - Autotrader. Although TEPs without KDSS might be hard to come by at this point.
I don't know for certain, but I am guessing Toyota's website might just be reflecting future builds of the 2016 model as opposed to existing inventory. I live in the northeast, and I was having the opposite problem this spring - I couldn't find any MGMs at all (TE or TEP) that had KDSS.
Personally, I love the KDSS and it is what pushed me to get the TEP over the TRD/SR5/Limited models. I test drove a SR5 and it felt like I was riding a boat, gently swaying back and forth. Whereas I find the TEP with KDSS provides an amazingly smooth ride.
