did you try bolting up the original bracket to see if it fits your frame rails?

yeah it's way off...it's got that tab that's supposed to go on top of the frame rail that wouldnt fit on mine without some cutting and drilling.
the body lift brackets fit exactly how i'd expect them to
I'm gonna try and cut down the BL brackets since they fit the truck's frame, and then I'm gonna weld the crossbar of the 2nd gen brackets to the BL brackets at the correct height and bolt on (if that makes any sense)

the fender flares are all clay bar'd up and going on tomorrow too!

so I guess you all are wondering how today went. I can only describe today with a smiley:

So I stopped by and hung out with my girl's dad, who owns a machine shop...and not one that makes stupid little stuff, this guy makes parts for major communications in military aircraft and troops on the ground. If you see a giant satellite in the background on CNN, there's a damn good chance that the tripod or stand for it was made by him. It was actually funny watching him try and make this thing so exact, when it really didn't need to be.
As you guys know, the brackets on the truck were exactly 5" wider than the brackets on the bumper (2.5" on each side). So instead of doing any cutting/welding, he says, "why don't we just make a spacer?". Duh. I was overthinking it.

we started off with this huge block of aluminum:

and the final product(told ya he went crazy making it perfect):

dude on YT was selling them...score!
but Steve from Sonoran Steel said if you send him your brackets, he can raise them to accomodate the BL

yeah. i just need the stock brackets because mine are tweaked and kinda hacked up...or just take it and get the thing welded to the frame

got them from a member here, CSL
they're hard to come by, not too many people are removing them, and if they do, they sell pretty quickly
