I am very interested to see if anyone has installed some sort of leather seating in their TE and what their impressions of the product is or suggestions of nice aftermarket leather kits. Also, has anyone had seat heaters installed on the TE? If so, how much was the kit and which kit was it?

If you have the money ,the Katzkins are my favorite and sure they can put seat heaters in when they install them.limamike's are sweet ,as I saw them in person!

We must really be misunderstanding one another. That said, I would truly like to hear your thoughts on going from my JKU to a TE.

He Doesn't appear to understand the question. And does not realize it is your question not his. Comparing a/your modded JFK to a trail edition.

I did Katzkin in my Tundra and loved it! to be honest after buying my SR5 with leather I wish I would have went with cloth and did Katzkin again. the OEM "leather" is cheap

You'll miss the convertible, removable doors, hose-out interior (thought the trail seats are waterproof).

I actually loved my buddies jeep... i didn't think the ride was too awful (bit of brake dive, but the 4runners have that as well) but again his was a stock rubi. Pulled a trailer just fine. Lots of cargo space in the back (very similar to a 4runner, not like the old jeeps where you could fit a 24 and no more).

4runner will be more secure, softer ride with the IFS, and likely greater reliability, but i have not heard anything bad about the JK, seems chrysler has stepped up their game.
