You could call it the Mr. T edition nothing sounds beefier than Mr. T.
On a serious Note magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla are all reputable companies. Not sure if anybody makes a true Cat back system yet. You might need to buy the muffler and have a garage bend the pipe for you.

Mr. T now thats funny! Borla just released a cat back system for our 5th gens. Check out there web site, i believe is around 800.00.

actually, I'd be willing to bet there is little to zero HP gain from a whole new cat back system on the 4runner similar to what has been proven via dyno for tacomas. The only system that provided any gain was dynomax, that being said you could just swap out mufflers to save some money and get the same thing.

I agree, no point in replacing from the cat-back but I bet you'd gain a few (2-5hp) replacing the mufflers.

To make a V6 sound beefier, add 2 cylinders! But seriously, the best you're gonna get is with a cold air intake and a new muffler, but don't count on any big performance gains.

Well considering he never made any mention about "gains" and only asked about sound improvments...I'm going to say either go with a new catback system or a new muffler paired up with a high flow intake (K&N for example)...whichever you feel better with or have the money for. Either will make it sound more "beefy/throaty"

You cant because it has 6 cylinders. Sounds almost as bad as the rats running under the hood of a 4 banger.
