Masson74 - My Rig

Last Saturday my son and I along with my cousin headed out to El Mirage Dry Lake Bed to watch the speed trials. I had never been and it was quite amazing to watch a vehicle go 259 mph!!! Afterwards we did a little wheelin' up in the hills. Good times.

Did a little snow wheeling, some donuts and a little sight seeing this morning up in Angelus Oaks and Forest Falls, CA. It was beautiful.

Every single time I see that front bumper I'm instantly jealous. That is my all time favorite bumper, and really wish one would come up for sale.

The rest of the 4runner is ight. :hungry:

Ran up to Oak Glen this morning for a beautiful drive

Ahhhhh, brings back memories. I used to live on the foothills of Oak Glen next to the Regional Park. When it snowed, we used to ditch school and drive up to Oak Glen or Forest Falls to mess around in the snow and bring back a truck bed full of snow to throw around after school in the parking lot.

We had a great time watching the King of the Hammers Shootout last night. If you have never been you need to put it on your bucket list. AMAZING Redneck offroading fun.

Added a back-up camera and a new double din radio this weekend. Awesome upgrade. I cant wait to use to use it out on the trail. This is very helpful now that I have my Savage Off-Road swing out on the back. I can see way better. I mounted the camera on the end of the swing out arm. Now I am thinking about adding some reverse LED flood lights as well.

Made it up to Big Bear, CA with some friends visiting from England. We took them out on White Mountain trail for some good times. On the way home we hit a few big thunder storms which helped to get a lot of the mud off my rig.

I forgot to add on here that in March I added some new ICON UCA's to my rig.

I had to replace my master cylinder and brake booster on my rig. Three weeks ago while driving my brakes completely failed. It was very scary but fortunately I was able to use my e brake and I was only three blocks from home when it happened.

Holy smokes, glad you and the rig are safe.

No brakes, as in zero brakes? :wow2:

Did you get any warning signs? Just wondering since I haul my family all around in mine

161,000 my rig was out of commission for three months as I had my buddy Roy Lewis rebuild alot of the front end. He replaced the lower control arm bushings, replaced the lower ball joints, rebuilt both front CV axles and I had the front ICONS rebuilt at the same time by Shockprep Unlimited in Riverside CA. Next an alignment and balance and she drives like new!!!

Replaced the Starter, Starter relay fuse, and the Neutral Safety Switch. I was having a problem with the key turning and nothing but a click. We had to chase the gremlins as it were but this finally solved the problem.

I added new tires. The last set of 285/75/16 Nitto Trail Grapplers lasted me over 8 years. Let see how this set does. I'm glad to finally get these on as I haven't been able to go 4 wheeling in quite sometime due to the tires being bald.

How do the trail grapplers do in wet conditions? I absolutely hate my terra grapplers as they slipped in wet conditions a lot.

Added the Magnaflow Overland Performance exhaust. It fixed my exhaust leak whistling noise and now sounds nice and throaty.
