Figured I better update this. I got my new sound system installed.

Includes brand new:

2 - 5 1/4" front door speakers - Diamond Audio D3 Series

1 - 10" Diamond Audio D3 Sub

1 - 500W x 4 channel Diamond Audio D3 Amp

1 - Spiffy SUV Sub box!

The stereo sounds unbelievable now. The stock speakers were getting worn out at the ripe old age of 9. It was time for an upgrade, and this did the trick.

WOW! I don't even know what to say! Thanks guys for picking me. She might be a little old, but still as sexy as the day it came off the lot (maybe even a little more so, with the right upgrades). I will keep the photos coming as I find reasons to take them.

The new system is perfect. It sounds better than anything I have ever owned in my life! I can turn it up as loud as I want, and it doesn't distort in any way at all. I look forward to every drive!

The wife and I bought a little addition to the family! A 1980 Coleman pop-up camper. I have spent the last week redoing the upholstery, laying new carpet, overhauling the water, propane and electrical system and setting off daily bug bombs.

I think we will call it Lil' Dirt.

We took the trailer out for it's maiden voyage. What a terrific time! We did some fishing, beer drinking, horseshoes and board games galore. We also took a few photos.

I went out on what I would consider my first 4x4 group outing!

I wandered out to Box Canyon, AZ with the Arizona FJ club. What a great bunch of guys, and I have an entirely new appreciation for what those FJs can get done. I could go on and on, but to end this FJ plug, I saw a guy go backwards (reverse) up a hill that I was WAY to afraid to go up or down.

Anyways, these photos don't do justice at all. In fact I am pretty bummed at how lame this obstacle looks (I was debating turning around and going home because it looked to technical)...see the photos don't do it justice. These two are from "The Waterfall" in Box Canyon. It's about a 3' drop off, followed by a series of 2' drops. The first large drop has been piled up with rocks right up against the rock wall that makes the left side of the trail. You have to hug the wall super tight (within an 3" of my mirror) so you don't roll onto the driver side door in the middle of the trail.

Here are a few more of the group. There was one other 4Runner in the group, he hangs out on this site too...sweet runner. The other 10 trucks were all FJs, some HEAVILY modified and incredibly capable.

This is what the trail looked like deep in the canyon. There weren't any rocks in the way here, but there were plenty of spots you had to climb up and over boulders. I tested my rock sliders for the first time on this trip...pretty hard once!
