Looks great man! I've been wanting to do mine for a while, but worry that if I paint it... it will scratch and peal.... any idea as to the durability of it? Can you step on the pad, and it not leave marks?

The paint when on extremely smooth. All I did was take it off and spray it with the hose, then scrubbed it down with with some car wash soap and a tire brush. Just let it dry and applied 3 coats. As far as durability, I've bumped it a few times but nothing too serious. Tomorrow I'll jump around on it a bit for you and let you know how it does.

I too am curious as to the durability of that paint. I will be painting mine as well, but I plan on using the basecoat/clearcoat that I have to paint all of my limited body panels.

I just went and jumped around on the back of it and actually tried scratching it up. It held up just fine.

So I have the oppurtunity to buy a used ARB for $500. Not long ago I decided I wanted to save up for an ODL bumper, but at this price, with the ARB being my second choice I may have to get it. Any thoughts on what I should do?

I did some wheeling on some local trails yesterday, it was pretty random so unfortunately the only pics are a few cell phone shots. I plan on going back soon and I'll try and get some better shots. Anyway, here are a few of what I got:
As I'm sure most of you know pics (especially cell phone pics) don't do a lot of justice. It had just rained recently and the dirt and gravel was pretty loose.

I saw the thread for the TW Ultragauge group buy. I was planning on buying one soon so why not get it for a few bucks cheaper. I just used the velcro mounts and mounted it here. I'm still trying to figure this thing out. I set my fuel tank as 17gal due to the way our tank is designed.

You can also use duplicolor trim paint. Ive used it on my crv to restore all the trim ,bumpers and it holds very well.

Thanks man! Yeah it requires very little prep work and really ties the back end up nicely. You should definitely give it a shot. You can also do the piece where the windshield and front hood meets, I haven't gotten around to that yet.

Oh yes i know exactly what you're talking about. Both of those pieces are oxidized and all weathered on my car.

Well today I went offroading and gave her some good use. Went with a buddy of mine who had a 5th gen with leveling kit and rear locker and some 275/65/17 (I believe that was the size) Goodyear MTRs. It was the first time we had been to this place so we did more exploring than anything, had a great time as well. I did manage to chip a bit of paint coming down the rock in the first few pics. :happens: On to the pics!!
