so is this about income, or about cost of vehicles

i bought my 2014 T4R in 2014, slightly used...for $27k
new ones were going for $35k at the time.

my wife just bought a Lexus ES lux, 2020 slightly used for $37k
new ones are going for $49k

Bought a brand new 2007 4R ,LTD V6 4WD, 13 years ago next week. Paid off , 175k miles.

Probably will buy another brand new one in the next couple of years.
