Messed up my tso pro grille in 1 week

:Cry: we’ll i finally bit the bullet and ordered the tso pro grille and installed it and was happy until I realized the finish is a very bare matte plastic compared to the oem trd satin one . So I put on some megs plastic shine but then ran into the problem of in between the letters ... I purchased the same product in a spray can and sprayed the emblems to get in between . I noticed after using the spray it made a uneven shine so I tried to remove some of the product and now it’s all jacked up and uneven . Unless anyone has any ideas on how to get this plastic back to bare I guess I’m gonna have to plasti dip it cuz the uneveness of the shine is driving me nuts .

What have you used to try to remove at this point? I would look at things like bug and tar remover, Iron X contaminate remover, clay bar/sponge. These are in order of least intensive to most. Personally, I prefer the CarPro Iron X, but check the label because I'm not sure of its compatibility with unpainted plastic.

I’ve used rubbing alcohol water/ solution. Chemical guys cleaner solution ..

Maybe a mild degreaser or even some dish soap?

clean it a few times with normal car was soap,
give it a light polish with some polishing compound should even things out.
next time use interior armor all, for a more even shine

Simple green or purple power should do the trick, also you won’t be able to plasti dip it until all that product is removed ... hit it with the pressure sprayer...

Here’s a solution... buy the real deal and stop stressing the fake stuff. 303 protectant on the OEM with a quick wipe of the excess makes for a nice looking trim.

If it’s plastic, use break fluid. Tip from plastic modeling. DO NOT GET IT ON ANY PAINT YA DON’T WANNA STRIP!!! Good luck!
