Metal tech body mount chop plates gtg?

4x4 shop suggested I get these rather than them cutting their own and welding them into place because it looks better.

I had metal plates fabbed for my FJC, but decided to go classy this time.

I had the body mount chop done last week. The shop did a reduction making it shallow enough for tire clearance versus a whole chop. Some have said this body mount extends so far for crash protection, I don't know but I'm pretty happy with how mine turned out. I still get rubbing but not from the body mount but from some sheetmetal flanges near the body mount (you can see to the left of the end of the body mount in the photo) meaning that even with a full chop I would have the rubbing.

I would say worth the money. I fabricated my own that look basically Identical but it was a pretty big time suck... Pre-cut plates would make it much easier (although still a time consuming job the first time...)

Good point, they're like 20 bucks, 26 shipped.
