Why? This feature is fast becoming obsolete because you can easily get an Ipod or whatever media device with tons more storage...and just plug it into the USB.

I would like to see this too, especially with the problems the connectivity seems to have. Error messages often appear that require you to turn off truck, unplug IPOD, start truck, plug back in. I would like to have a good in-truck storage that I could just upload my music into and be done with it. Plus tryint to reach into the glove while driving, or parked for that matter is not real easy.

I would love to see a seat that travels closer to the floorboards. Head room is less than stelar.

I have a 32GB iPod Touch in my glove box which I stream via BT. I don't like it when its plugged in (for charging), seems extremely antiquated to use it and I don't think it sounds as good when its wired via USB.

I'll have to try that. I usually keep my Ipod on shuffle and from what I understand thats perfect for the hard drive becaaue it is somewhat difficult to scroll/search music on the hard drive. Any truth to that?

Yeah, searching an HD via USB is a pain, so I have it on folder shuffle. You just have to make sure you like every song you put on there, or else you end up hitting the "next" button often.

Don't ask me why, but USB connection is better for music quality than BT Audio streaming. This is from my experience in my Prius. Numerous other folks (with USB) confirms that music quality (e.g. bass) is better with USB than BT Audio. It is interesting that the 4runner is the opposite.

Maybe re-test USB vs. BT Audio again???

In addition, with BT Audio, you are limited by how much you can control. You can only go up and down on songs. With USB, you can go to different playlists, artists, etc..

I believe that the Bluetooth protocol has to compress the data stream before it sends it out, so that's why you see a quality degradation (but I could be wrong).

I'd love to see better air vents in the 2nd (and 3rd) row. 2nd row are "kinda" ok, but my daughter just sweats it out in the summer, and freezes in the winter when sitting in that back row. And they need an overhead light in the 3rd row too!

I probably have bad ears or something - cuz the BT Audio has always sounded better than connected via USB. I don't mind the lack of control. I'm one of those rare people that doesn't want to look at the nav screen when I'm driving. I only use playlists - and typically dont change it once I'm driving.

I doubt it will have HID lights as I don't think any Toyota vehicle has HID lights. I agree that the 4r will eventually have led tailights but I doubt the HID headlights. Not even the LC has HID lights.

For a mid-life refresh, I'd like to see:

A Trail Teams edition of the Trail Edition, in Iceberg White, that comes standard with sliders, 285/70/17 E Duratracs, roof mounted lights, front to back low profile rack, no sunroof, leveled off-road worthy suspension with a 2-inch lift, and a cargo floor (sans sliding tray that is even when the second row seats are folded flat.
