Correct, I am having Luke at 4x4 Labs do mine. It will pretty much be the first of its kind that can be recreated. It will be the first bumper he does on the 5th Gen, but has done great work on the 4th Gens. When I went by today someone was picking up their 1st Gen with the rear and it was impressive. Luke is excited to work on it and I am sure once he gets it done would be willing to do others.

So what part of the bay area are you in? Like in the other post, I'll be Palo Alto on assignment for 3 months and would love to hit up some trails in the area.

I live in the San Ramon, Dublin area but the above photos are from Tahoe. I won't have my truck for about the next month but after that I am down to hit some trails!!!!

Pretty confident it is going to be sick. Spare tire will be on the passenger side at an angle with the hi-lift being mounted to the accessory side vertically, not behind the tire. Sounds like the stock bumper will be cut to create a body line with the bumper coming up along the side. Rear cross member will be cut out for a good gain in clearance.

Ummmm.....it is going to be "Cut out" as in removed. The rear bumper will then act as the rear cross member since it will be a big piece of steel.

To give an example of Luke's work....
This is my buddy Ray's truck. Luke cut the cross member out of the 4th Gens too and you can see the results in ground clearance.

X2 Mikey! It's not my bumper and even I can hardly wait to see it.
Is this bumper going to be available to the rest of us 5th gen'rs or is this going to be a one off? I really need to get my spare out from under as it sits almost as low as the diff.
