The diodes are actually not exposed. There is what seems like a rubber or flexible plastic coating a couple of mm thick over them. Not worried about them being damaged at this point.

Ok I was wondering that. I know what you're talking about, but it was hard to tell in the picture. They look completely exposed like the diodes on my LED interior bulb swaps.

I assume your talking about the emblem. Got it from a guy on Tacoma World. He makes them a couple of times a year in limited numbers.

***Edit*** The above photo is version one. Version two has the line matching the body!!!
For where the spindle is sitting it is sitting on a platform but I think it is due to the part under the tail light not being filled in yet. I think it gives the impression that it is really sticking out there. Once the arms are on and accessories it will definitely thin that plat form out.
2nd Edit. This is version two in CAD and he is on the third.

Just adding some photos to the build. I am in the stage of the build where I am mostly just enjoying the truck. No the build is not done. It's just that the next few items are going to be quite expensive and I have some other large purchases in the near future that will take precedent.
