For the combo it is.

I live for the 1/4" ratchet. One of the top ten tools that I own. Pair it with a 6.0 battery and it will last all day.

I am still waiting with baited breath for the cordless soldering iron.

Just bought this deal for the Rachet too. Where do you get that battery?

Had a cordless soldering iron 30 years ago. Radio Shack had a butane fired pen sized one, it worked pretty well, hehe.

Ebay, either a single one can be had for around $50 or a pair for under $100. Worth the extended time? Absolutely. Milwaukee 48-11-2460.

I have both the ratchet and the impact. The former is gold, since I don't have to drag out the air hose. The latter is nice, and a bonus to have, but other tools can do its job. If one is a small engine technician though it will make one $$$ all day.

Clemson man..... thats what i like to see. Tell me moar about this 1/4. I have been really wanting to buy one. I have a really old snap on cordless 3/8 drive impact that just will not die. On a full charge i rebuilt my front axle and removed and installed my transfer case with it on a single charge. I bought it in 2005 and i know soon as i buy a 1/4 its gonna die. I just know it. Not saying i would try to replace it with a 1/4 rachet but soon as i spend the money i know what will happen. Either way just how great are they? Do you use it a lot? Which one did you buy? Ill hang up and listen.

This is the 1/4" ratchet I love to work with. Smaller is better for a 1/4 IMHO than the new but larger Fuel ones Milwaukee has out:

If you are looking for an impact, skip the 1/4" one unless you work on 2 and 4 cylinder engines for a living. It has 40ft/lbs of torque max. If you want to keep with the Milwaukee theme, I'd go for this one all day:

Sounds like youre talking about the 1/4" ratchet, not the impact. The impact is rated at 1,550 in-lbs, so roughly 125 ft-lbs (even if numbers inflated my Milwaukee, its still not 40 ft-lbs)

I got my 3/8' ratchet in a M12 combo deal from HD; drill, impact, Hackzall, 3/8" ratchet and 2 1.5ah batteries. Already had the M12 Full drill/impact, so I sold the drill/impact and batteries for $100. Ended up with the Hackzall and ratchet for $100
